INLAND EMPIRE DVD Review

So I’ve finished checking out the new INLAND EMPIRE 2 Disc Special Edition DVD set from Absurda. Having seen the film now for the third time, I have to say that I still love it. This DVD set is one of the best Lynch films on DVD as it takes you very in depth into the film. The Deleted Scenes offer interesting information about the characters. I almost view the Deleted Scenes section as a film to it’s own. The Lynch 2 documentary is probably my favorite part. Lynch 2 is the second of a series of films that will likely be a trilogy following David Lynch on his journey into making the film INLAND EMPIRE. The documentary provides a lot of raw emotion and will be sure to please the fans as rarely do you get to see and hear Lynch actually create his visions. There is a section of Stories where Lynch discusses the making of INLAND EMPIRE which is nice. Probably the most entertaining piece is Lynch making Quiona. At first glance I thought it would be my least favorite of the extras only to find that it is probably my most favorite. It is unlike any cooking demonstration that you have ever seen. With that said, if you are looking to get a good look at what all Lynch DVDs should strive to become, you must check out INLAND EMPIRE on DVD. It’s Lynch at what he does best.
