Music on original Season 1 DVD menus
Hey all!
(Pretty sure I've asked this before, years ago, but I could be dreaming...)
Does anyone have any idea who should be credited for the weird, atmospheric and ambient music heard in the DVD menus for the initial DVD release of S1? Some of it seems to blend in the drone/foghorn, but there are a couple of distinct 'tracks' which play.
Thanks!
Cooped.

It quite possibly could've been Angelo Badalamenti. As far as I know, he loved working with Lynch and I can see him jumping at the opportunity to create ambient music for the DVD.
"Garland? What an odd name...JUDY Garland?"

Ooh yes, I adore the original Season 1 DVD menus. There's nostalgia, of course, because they were my introduction to the series, but they're also significantly more atmospheric than those on the Season 2 and Gold Box sets (haven't seen the Entire Mystery menus so can't comment.)

Has anyone ever managed to rip these? I'm sure qbin mentioned something about it ages ago, but I'm never sure if he got around to it or not. I'd love this piece as an audio file.

Works great for me, Q. Thank you so much.
Incidentally, what exactly are the other tracks in there? Are they made to portray mixes heard elsewhere in the show?
