I was going to comment on how it's odd that he'd release it before the series, and then remembered the nonsensical way you Americans write your dates..
I'll see you in the trees

Two things I wonder:
Will it include his time shooting S3 of Peaks.
Will he be open and honest about actors he's worked with.

Hopefully he'll give as much insight on his career as possible.
This is - excuse me - a damn fine cup of coffee.

It's promising that there's a co-writer. Catching the Big Fish was fine, but pretty slight.

Pretty much all the comments from Lynch are just regurgitated at this point; I hope this book has stories that are completely new and original, not more stuff about the "moving painting" or Eraserhead/Philadelphia etc.

Greatest fear: he'll tell us that it was all a pisstake and he's been mocking us all since the 1960s!!

I’m Reading it now. There are Some photos I have never seen before. The setup of the book is interesting. The first part of every chapter is written by Kristine mckenna along with quotes of friends and family. At the secondhalf of the chapter Lynch is telling sort of his version of the stories.Melong wrote:Anyone here receive an ARC of Room to Dream?

I’m only midway through the first chapter, but the structure of the book is ideal. Historically, the best chance one has at getting DKL to open up is presenting him with quotes from other people about his life/work and giving him rebuttal time.
The photo of his dad in naval attire screams Garland Briggs, and I think speaks volumes to why that character was and is so important to DKL. I instantly thought of DKL setting Tina Rathborne straight that Garland is a very wise man, as well as his prominence in TP:TR as a guiding force.
