I wonder if that's pretty similar to most of what was on tv at the time though.N. Needleman wrote:Oh God. I bet it's pretty much the same now. Lynch, Frost, Kyle and maybe a few other notable names (Naomi Watts?) will get most of it.
This is - excuse me - a damn fine cup of coffee.

I really wonder what Naomi's role will be. I'm happy she was cast.

Care to elaborate? Unless it's like official secret or something.Brad D wrote:Yeah, no one has ever been paid much of anything for the old Twin Peaks - and if you knew the flat sum they received for all future home video releases once upon a time, you'd be astonished.
Surprised to learn Ontkean, according to someone's mention, also got a substantial amount of dough besides Lynch, Frost and MacLachlan. Would never thought his value was (that) high, at least not compared to, say, Richard Beymer, Piper Laurie, Ray Wise, Russ Tamblyn and other vets in the original cast.

Kyle and Ontkean were the leads.

Still wondering who replaced Peter Sarsgaard. Looking at the cast list, there's a bunch of people of similar looks and same age range.

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017
My guess is that there are roughly five tiers to actor compensation for the series.
1. MacLachlan.
2. Established, somewhat in-demand actors with sizable roles.
3. Original cast members with sizable roles.
4. Unknown actors with sizable roles.
5. All small roles.
I'm also guessing a lot of the bigger names will fit into #5, doing bit parts for pretty much no money because they wanted to work with Lynch.

So Bailey Chase is probably playing a Twin Peaks local if he got to interact with that many returning actors...

He filmed on November 5, 2015 from what I have in my notes, I think this was from his Twitter. I'm guessing he filmed with the FBI group somehow if he filmed with some of the original cast.madeleineferguson wrote:So Bailey Chase is probably playing a Twin Peaks local if he got to interact with that many returning actors...

I don't really think it's fair to judge an actor for not taking a job based on money. Yeah it's a privilege work with a creator like Lynch but, you know, sometimes bills gotta be paid, kids gotta be fed, etc

I don't think the Super Bowl would have anything to do with it. More importantly, Showtime starts it's week-by-week replay of the series leading into Season 3 on Sunday.krishnanspace wrote:Do you guys think we will have a teaser tomorrow as its super bowl and it's 3 weeks since the last teaser?

How do you get more money for bills if you turn down a job?Major Briggs wrote:I don't really think it's fair to judge an actor for not taking a job based on money. Yeah it's a privilege work with a creator like Lynch but, you know, sometimes bills gotta be paid, kids gotta be fed, etc
Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017
You take another job that pays more money, but perhaps is a lesser role and gets you more eyeballs but less cred. See: LFB doing Wayne's World instead of FWWM. On the surface it seems ludicrous that she did that instead, but she probably made more money for that silly role, and it likely did more for her career. Though in retrospect, she'd probably be held in higher regard today for the meatier role in FWWM.bob_wooler wrote:How do you get more money for bills if you turn down a job?Major Briggs wrote:I don't really think it's fair to judge an actor for not taking a job based on money.
