Welcome Auggeo! Your inquiry prompted me to look up "Sailor's Holiday" on Amazon.com. Here's an abbreviated review by Lawrence Rungren of the Bedford Free Press:

"Sailor's Holiday" is a set of four novellas that might be termed "gothic noir..." Sailor and Lula are reunited in New Orleans when Pace, their son, is kidnapped. Back together, they seek to find him...though an absurdist streak running throough these tales nearly reduces them to caricature, Sailor and Lula's passion for one another give these stories emotional reality.

Hmmm, I wonder if my local library has these. I own the first book but must have bought it before there were sequels. Kind of fun, but not great literature.

There was also a "spin-off" novel called "Perdita Durango" which was made into a terrible film.
