Re: Twin Peaks Gazette Message Board
I was so sad when I saw the board on TPG was closed.
Luckily people have moved over here.
I don't have any TP fans (not like me) in my "crowd" so I am so happy for the possibility to discuss with you guys

Harry, I have no idea where this will lead us, but I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange.
Re: Twin Peaks Gazette Message Board
This definitely applies to me. I have absolutely 0 people to relate with when it comes to TP. Finding that these forums existed and that I wasn't weird or alone in my admiration for this show made me really glad that such a thing as the internet exist.CeCe wrote: I don't have any TP fans (not like me) in my "crowd" so I am so happy for the possibility to discuss with you guys
Re: Twin Peaks Gazette Message Board
Sometimes I took a look to the Twin Peaks Gazette Message Board. But never registered. Just because I found this DUGPA board and I thought "Wow this is a great resource for any TP fan"! I have had many reports from this forum. Precious news. I know I love this board!
I love the people here.
And I hope this will never disappear. Thank you dugpa. My respect.

this should have never been gone.
and I think MyOwl was cool anyway. a huge TP fan... and as fucked up as David Lynch is.
that Black Lodge Encyclopedia was/is a must-read to every crazy lynch fan. the whole threads were amazing.
hope you can bring that back up.

Re: Twin Peaks Gazette Message Board
Ah yes, MyOwl, who openly admitted to being in mental institutions, addicted to drugs and pornography and started a thread where he fantasized about having sex with pre-teens. He also had a habit of openly attacking new members there, many of whom never returned.
Of course, what he was mainly known for was posting wildly off-topic crap in every section. Not really his fault, but the fault of the owners/mods who never lifted a finger to stop it. Then towards the end, gee whiz, everybody starts complaining about MyOwl. Too little, too late. Board shut.
My favorite bit was where he complained about being banned from many other boards. Gee really?
Not here.

If someone sicks up in front of your favourite park bench, you can feel sorry for the guy and sympathise, but at the same time you need to get away from the smell.
Sorry if that sounds crude, but I am kind of hacked off with MyOwl. And yes, I know he wasn't ultimately responsible for TPG closing, but he made it an unpleasant place to be in its final year and it was my favourite bench and people I liked used to hang out there. Ah well...

Oh! That's why I never had a chance to stick to that Board. Every time i tried i found lots of garbage in the topics, that I hadn't enough strength to go through it. Finding something interesting was hard. Too bad, some conversation was really interesting.Jerry Horne wrote:Of course, what he was mainly known for was posting wildly off-topic crap in every section.

Re: Twin Peaks Gazette Message Board
What saddens me is that there were many excellent members that with the disappearance of the Gazette it seems are gone for good... I hoped they would join Dugpa like some of us did, but months pass and there's no sign of them...at least not here...
For example, Booth... Where are you man?
But I'm happy that Rebel, BOB1 and more old friends are here...

They've all died and gone to doggie heaven. Just like grandpa and grandma in a way.Gordon wrote: For example, Booth... Where are you man?
Re: Twin Peaks Gazette Message Board
Absolutely, Gordon. If anyone has Booth's email, perhaps they could invite him to swing round here. He was one sharp customer.Gordon wrote:What saddens me is that there were many excellent members that with the disappearance of the Gazette it seems are gone for good... That's the thing about board shut downs, unless you know they are coming, you don't ask around and get people's emails just in case.
