A thought just struck me- there is only one way this can end. Nadine replaces the red curtains with silent drapes.
When is this "Frost has to keep TP safe from Lynch's surreal horror because they're both one trick ponies" gonna end? Great googly moogly it's so old. :|

I'm firmly in the two Coopers camp. The motions are mapped exactly the same.
Person on the left moves like a much older person.
Yep. The knees are very spread apart, the shoulders more haunched, and the arms swing more freely, as if just controlled by motion and gravity and not by muscle control. It appears to be a slow wobble more than a steady stride.

The last time footage of a mysterious figure walking was enhanced and it's gate analyzed this intensely was the famous patterson-gimlin sasquatch footage. I truly love this forum.

I didn't say that Frost doesn't do horror. He very obviously does. He just doesn't do purely abstract story telling. He has even said, several times, that Lynch's strength is not in story telling. I don't think that's controversial is it?

Ben Rosenfield's stare remind me of Leland's when we find out that he was possessed by Bob..

Madchen's reactions to certain scenes are interesting.

That was a great little video Jerry. Thanks for sharing.

She said "I think that's David Lynch" when she saw the scene with the figures in the hallway. Might not mean much, given it's so hard to make out, but I had wondered if that was Cooper with Cole. I love when she goes "Who's that?" about the young guy. And when she points herself out in the roadhouse.
I have no idea where this will lead us, but I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange.

The last three trailers have been fantastic. As I hoped, we got to see some new faces this time. Hoping for at least one more trailer, with more new characters and new footage.

Love the minimalist style and soundtrack of these recent ads: revealing a little more each time. These trailers are so hypnotic - I could watch them over and over again on a loop.

As others have remarked, the tone seems very much FWWM meets Inland Empire meets Lost Highway. My three favourite Lynch movies, so I'm not complaining.

While I don't expect it to be humourless, I suspect much of the whimsy of the TV series will be jettisoned, in favour of a more consistently dark vision. I expect it to be be divisive, and provocative....and, needless to say, brilliant.

Darkness > Whimsy.

I like when they mix, and I like having both, but yeah.

I'm at total disagreement with him and anybody else. (more on that later) Also, I didn't say you said he doesn't do horror, you were pulling the tried and true oft too repeated from the first time "Frost has to keep a shackle on Lynch so he doesn't ~go too far~ with his surrealism and absurdity" which is insulting to both artists as if they each primarily do one thing. Call me a fanboy all you want but it's especially insulting to Lynch, like he's balls-to-the-wall incapable from going any place else but Inland Empire.

I need to get a big sign pointing at Blue Velvet every time this comes up and "story telling isn't Lynch's strength".

It was always going to save itself from being too Inland Empire by virtue of having a script, but Frost was never one to say 'no' to Lynch's weirdness. The man can be plenty weird himself, just in a different way.

Oh, huh. I haven't thought of that. That would be a good place to set up camp if someone wanted to keep constant watch on a certain puddle.
I'm not just three men on a fishing trip.
