I have a feeling that any future content will probably just not mention most of the "lesser" events of latter season two. The Marsh plot, Little Nicky, etc. They won't be retconned, but they won't be expanded on or made more important than they are now (which, according to most fans, isn't very important). I sincerely hope they don't tamper with the Marsh plot in any way so it can continue to live in infamy.

I really want dynamic, well-rounded, fan favorite grown-up Nicky but aside from that, I don't see how they could be relevant 25+ years later. Same goes for One-Eyed Jack, for the record. Or, idk, Harold or the paternity of Lucy's baby to name a few earlier plots.
Personally, I want to think that tshotp gave us free reins to remix things up a little at our leisure as long as the overall point is the same. So in my personal version of the events, the Evelyn storyline follows the same main beats but is now super cool, a gripping noir that could be a standalone feature

I actually wondered once what it would be like if Annette McCarthy came back and did a bit about what her life was like after getting out of prison for killing Malcolm and Jeffrey. After all, it's usually 25 to life here in the states right? She could be out by now. Time for some bad fanfic maybe?

I think if any characters are ripe for fanfic going forward it's the ones unlikely to be touched again - Evelyn, Little Nicky, etc.

I personally believe Little Nicky became either mayor, a state Senator on the Tea Party ticket, a drug dealer or all of the above.

It was a bet about the release date of the show and most of the folks with the Evelyn avatars are the losers of the bet (like me for example), then there are some other members who just changed theirs for the fun of it.
