Re: Twin Peaks, WA, today
The trip was great, once again.
Took some pictures, but as nothing changed since I went there for the last time I guess it's pretty useless to post them here.
Let me know if someday you come around, I'll be happy to be your guide !
Here's the link for the story, by the way. Well, it's in french and contain nothing people here don't know yet, but just in case you want to have a look at it :

Re: Twin Peaks, WA, today
Hi all !
Goin back there on June 2nd.
Great news, the trail down the falls has re-opened and I will be able to do it for the first time.
As usual, if anyone want to join, from Vancouver / Bellingham / Seattle, don't hesitate to let me know !

How did the trip go The_Owl? Did you get any pictures of the falls trail?
I absolutely love this thread and all your pictures within it, gives me a strange feeling of nostalgia, even though i've never been anywhere near Snoqualmie. A friend and I made a promise that we would make it to the festival one year, but with marriages, moves and work situations we've never been able to. We're still determined to this very day so who knows...
Great article too by the way, i actually understood a surprising amount but i must admit to resorting to a translation in the end! My French is a little rusty. Loved it. Can't wait to see more of your pics soon!

Re: Twin Peaks, WA, today
Bring back the sign now please !
Two major changes since I visited for the last time in august.
Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures, I only had my cell phone with me.
First, the Ronnette's bridge access (well I should say the "no-more access") is now closed. Not sure if we still can access from the other side as I didn't try, but I highly doubt about it.
And then, the trail to the bottom of the falls has re-opened.
It's not possible to go closer than the viewpoint, in theory.
In the facts, with some acrobatics you can go to the very bottom.
Be careful though, I guess it will be extremely dangerous when wet (slippery rocks) and at spring (flash floods).
Next trip, at latest for the festival...
The Roadhouse now sells damn fine T-shirts !
Ok guys, you can take the stone out of the basement...

Wow! Amazing what a bit of set dressing can do. Especially when your dresser is from the Black Lodge, I guess.The_Owl wrote:The Roadhouse

^^Um...this is one of the creepiest things I have ever come across...the dark myth is starting to manifest in the 'real' world...

Would you like to play with fire, little boy?
Through the darkness of futures past
The magician longs to see
One chants out between two worlds
Fire walk with me
