Most frightening scenes in TP
There are a few scenes in TP that scare me such as the scene of Laura being killed in the train car, Bob crawling over the couch at Donna's house and the scene in the film FWWM when Laura enters her bedroom and see's Bob this alway's makes me jump no matter how many times I see it.
What scenes scare you guy's the most.
Oh I forgot one that scene of James singing is really really scary

the couch crawling scene is terrifying...as is cooper's dream when bob slowly comes into focus while walking in the darkness. and then we have little nicky as satan.
Re: Most frightening scenes in TP
For me, it was Ronette's memory of the traincar. I believe it was the last scene of the second season opener.
Re: Most frightening scenes in TP
Yeah what both of you have said is pretty frightening but there are so many scenes to choose from which are scary but anything concerning Bob to me is very scary

1) Train car end of episode 8
2) Episode 14 from the record player on till the basically the end
3) Pilot - Sarah jumping up from the couch. I'm not sure why this one always gets me - I think it's the music as well!

The one that always gets to me is Maddy's vision of Killer Bob after the James/Donna/Maddy Trio recording session is interrupted by Donna running off. Bob just kind of float-walks in the front door, and then turns and heads straight at Maddy like a nightmare come to life, crawling over everything, including the couch, etc. Part of what gets to me in that scene is spooky Bob juxtaposed against the shell-pink normalcy and neatness of the Hayward living room, and the camera just keeps watching him getting closer and closer...
Truly creepy!
I also think that Windom Earle's momentary chalk-white skin and blacked-out teeth when he brings back the bag of spiders for Leo is fairly unsettling. The camera kind of jumps right into his face, and the blackness of his mouth makes me think about him either physically or metaphorically having drunk deeply from the pool of oil in Glastonbury Grove.

Thank you! I figure I fit into the TP milieu as part of the Log Lady's extended family... She's got the Log, I've got Owls. I am certainly eccentric enough to be kith and kin to her.kim 13781 wrote:Yeah I forgot about that Windom scene it was scary seeing his face like that.

I also think that Windom Earle's white face/black mouth look in that scene sort of sums him up using 'Lodge-speak'. He is white on the exterior (he looks respectable/normal), but his interior (as seen via his open, completely black mouth) is evil. Anyhow, his white/black look has a real primal creepiness to it, and it always jars me a bit when I see it.

The train car scene at the end of Episode 8.
The image of an owl superimposed over BOB's face-freaky!
Maddy's murder.
Laura's doppelganger in the Black Lodge-GAH!

Looks like the train car scene is winning the votes as most frightening scene, I agree that scene used to give me nightmares

Re: Most frightening scenes in TP
The images that most disturb me from the entire Twin Peaks saga are the Jumping Man in Agent Jeffries' flashback to the convenience store, and the Magician/grandson visiting Laura outside the Double R.
That damn mask really unsettles me for some reason.

Yeah I know that mask is pretty freaky, it's weird and the grandson is really creepy as well.
