I'm so pumped from that trailer, wow! I mean, Dougie Milford? That's unexpected, to say the least!
Interesting that the Log Lady's maiden name is Coulson. I initially thought it was a mistake on Frost/the publisher's part, but it made sense when you see the date of the report is from the 1940s. And Gordon's memo is fantastic, right down to the humour ("we need to know it yesterday!").
Slightly dissapointed about the date of the memo/investigation though. If season 3 is keeping in with the "25 Years Later" motif, shouldn't the date that this is all set in motion be in 2014, considering the original series was set in 1989?

They really did retcon the date of the original to 1991, didn't they. The date at the beginning says August 3rd, 2016...

Yeah, it's looking like they're going to handwave that away.Cerulean wrote:Slightly dissapointed about the date of the memo/investigation though. Hero. I was just going to ask some boffin to do the same. I screen grabbed the Gordon Cole letter. Can only make out paRts of it. Something along the lines of "dossier...homicides...worked on by Special Agent Dale Cooper at that time...young girl murdered named Laura Palmer...time is of the essence". Etc.vicksvapor77 wrote:I downloaded the video and have it in much larger size. I will do screen shots of the pages and upload them here! Stay tuned.

...as they already did in 1990, to be entirely honest, but still. Disappointing. I'll let this piece of bad news simmer a little before getting to the exciting stuff ie literally everything else...adl345 wrote:Yeah, it's looking like they're going to handwave that away.Cerulean wrote:Slightly dissapointed about the date of the memo/investigation though. ETA: UNLESS Laura and Coop did their thing in 2014 and it takes 2 more years for the rest of the plot to fall into place...

Gah, I hate Photobucket! The photos I have are much larger. Trying to upload them somewhere else but not sure where.

Some quick thoughts:
1. Shame about the date. Was really hoping for 2014. Oh well.
2. If Norma's parents' last name is Lindstrom, where does Blackburn come in?
3. The Log Lady's maiden name appears to be Coulson, which is nice. But that tattoo is actually Major Briggs' tattoo, NOT Margaret's.

A vigorous SAME on all three. Maybe Annie is Norma's half-sister?Ross wrote:Some quick thoughts:

(there are triangles everywhere on the cover, maybe Frost is throwing us a curve ball with this tattoo reveal? I don't want to be hopeful but-)

I can't even describe how crazy it makes me with things like the wrong tattoo, and seemingly the wrong date (This story should pick up in 2014). Regardless - exciting trailer.
