Season 3 Production Schedule

Post by Mr. Reindeer »

I don’t believe this has been posted before: while rewatching the Jason S. part-specific behind-the-scenes documentaries, I took note of the dates and put them in chronological order, to reverse-engineer a sort of shooting schedule. I used frahm9’s invaluable PDF of the old spoiler thread to supplement this info as to the Washington shoot, which unfortunately did not receive much video documentation. Anyone who can add further information would be greatly appreciated. I’m particularly interested to know when the Cooper/Laura Part 17 “woods” scene was shot, and the Sarah nighttime Palmer house scenes (presumably the same day as the Sarah/Hawk scene, but I’d love confirmation).

9/10/2015 Run Silent, Run Drapes exterior
9/11/2015 Big Ed’s Gas Farm: Nadine and Ed
Ca. 9/18/2015 Double R filming ends
9/19/2015 Carl sits in the park; Fat Trout: Kriscol
9/21/2015 Fat Trout: Shelly/car stunt
9/21-22/2015 Richard hit and run
9/23/2015 Welcome to Twin Peaks sign; Richard at Miriam’s; kids find Miriam
9/24/2015 Richard at Sylvia’s (Goaz, Forster and Horse arrive in Washington and drop by to greet Lynch)
9/25/2015 Roadhouse establishing shots
9/26/2015 Sheriff’s station: Lucy falls out of her chair
9/28/2015 Sheriff’s station: Kyle’s first day on set (Part 17 scenes: sheriff’s station exterior and reception area scenes as Double and Coop, Gordon’s arrival) (per de Lauzirika’s documentary: at some point during the week he spent in Washington surrounding this date was Andy interviewing the owner of the truck, the Andy/Lucy chair-buying scene, Lucy’s side of the Gordon call, the Betty scene, and Wally Brando)
10/01/2015 Sheriff’s station conference room: Bunny scene; discussing Briggs’s tube (Part 9)
10/05/2015 Jerry running; Olallie: Jack Rabbit’s Palace, Jerry Part 7 cell phone scene, Jerry and his foot
10/06/2015 Olallie: Naido/gold pool

10/21/2015 Carrie Page’s house
10/22/2015 Cooper’s double kills Darya / Chantal and Cooper’s double at motel

11/10/2015 Sarah at the supermarket; Pop’s Diner, NM

11/14/2015 Buckhorn Morgue: FBI arrives
11/19/2015 Mayfair: Albert and Constance’s dinner (note the incorrect date on Tammy’s Blue Rose induction in the Jason S. documentary, listed as 9/23/2015, but shot at the same location as this scene, presumably on a nearby date)

Always so resourceful Mr R.

And Jerry that's awesome. But it feels torturous to know you have more where that came from :o

Wow, thanks for that, Jerry! The Argentina scenes are among the biggest enigmas in the show.

Great work Reindeer! I don't know why, but I've always found shooting schedules interesting. I loved the moment in the BTS footage where Lynch apologizes to Robert Knepper and Jim Belushi that they won't be filming chronologically.

And I love that stuff Jerry, it's so interesting. I want to know more about the man in Argentina and how LMFAP would've helped Dougie with his case files. Thank you for sharing.

I imagine that, instead of the mystical green light, we would have gotten a tiny MfAP dancing around the pages as Dale connects the dots.

Great work. When were all the interior Roadhouse scenes shot and were they all grouped together (the performance, the conversations, Audrey's dance, the James/Rene scenes)? Also curious about the Alicia Witt scenes, etc.
I have no idea where this will lead us, but I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange.

I’d love more info about the Washington shoot dates. Sadly, the first few weeks didn’t have any documentarian up there, and the only info I scraped together came from the old spoiler thread, or what remained of it after Arbo’s stuff had been purged.

I remember reading about the Roadhouse performances being shot over two days (possibly a weekend?).

I think I read this too. If Audrey's dance was too, it might be around the dates she was filming - and I wonder if all the Roadhouse interior scenes were filmed around then.

It seems like for the most part they were “shooting out” sets (i.e., filming all the material on a set back to back—see the Red Room for instance). So I would guess all the Roadhouse stuff was shot close together, and almost certainly around the same time as Audrey’s location scenes. I do seem to recall the Roadhouse shoot being right near the end of the studio stuff, if I’m remembering properly. There was a reference to it having been recently completed in the spoiler thread, if memory serves, but I don’t believe there was an exact date.
