I've a question. In the film Sunset Boulevard, when Norma Desmond describes the plot of her script to the young scriptwriter (whose name I forgot), he more or less mocks her and says, "They'll love it in Pomona. They'll love it every place."
And then, I was thinking about this conversation at the end of INLAND EMPIRE about Pomona, where the blond one-legged girl lives.
Is there anything special about Pomona, like a common joke or anything else?
Thanks in advance
