Does anyone else notice a very similar theme between this and the Taxi Driver main theme?

A major influence for Badalamenti perhaps?..

I think the main influences in Badalamenti's music are Henry Mancini (Peter Gunn soundtrack is so reminiscent of twin peaks jazzier songs) and Bernard Herrman. But i dont think the songs are similar..Perhaps the two characters share a similar loneliness (Truman and Travis), but musically speaking..no.
