Re: David Lynch.com Twin Peaks Music Official Thread
Yes. It's The Swan. 1:05-1:25 of the original track. From the words "Water rings" to "In the Night".
Awesome. This is exactly the kind of stuff I was hoping the guide would spur; I haven't actually listened to any of the Julee Cruise vocal tracks outside of the o...

Re: David Lynch.com Twin Peaks Music Official Thread

"The 46 second version named "Twin Peaks (Harp And Guitar)" that was released is this exact version. And I'm guessing its the original version; its faster paced than the Ben scene. The version heard over the credits of episode 18 is the same track slowed down. The version used in the ...

Twin Peaks Music Guide - Pilot and Season 1

....... Pilot ....... -- The Twin Peaks theme, best captured in the first track on the original 1990 soundtrack album -- The classic Laura Palmer Theme - track two on the original soundtrack. First heard in the opening shot of the pilot - Josie in front of the mirror. Note: wouldn't it be great if w...

Re: David Lynch.com Twin Peaks Music Official Thread

Spurred by the excitement generated by the Twin Peaks Archive in recent weeks, I think I'm finally going to do a definitive, episode-by-episode listing of original Badalamenti music and post it here when I'm done.

Re: David Lynch.com Twin Peaks Music Official Thread

Forgot to mention: It was bothering me like crazy what episode or moment that I most recall Love Theme (Alternate Version) being used in, and I finally remembered: Episode 12, when Donna tells the story of when she and Laura went skinny dipping with the three older guys, and the that scene transitio...

Re: David Lynch.com Twin Peaks Music Official Thread

I, too, do have the slight suspicion that the music releases (so far, anyway) are specifically tied to the episodes, characters and themes that Lynch had a strong hand in. Then again, we don't know this for a fact, but I would like to think that DL.com has, in the process of working on the Twin Peak...

Re: David Lynch.com Twin Peaks Music Official Thread

New release from dl.com!!! "Love Theme (Alternate Version)" & "Love Theme (Solo Rhodes)" This is exactly what I was hoping for. I'm all about the baritone guitar punctuations. None of the soundtrack releases have ever quite had the right version, so I'm in heaven. And I'm eit...

Re: David Lynch.com Twin Peaks Music Official Thread

I've got to be honest: the original versions do nothing for me, but the film versions are fantastic! They do so much to build up a feeling of dread when Chet is walking through the trailer park.

Re: David Lynch.com Twin Peaks Music Official Thread

-- then there's what I consider to be the classic season one variation of it, a clean version of which has never really been released (it's kind of in the first track of the season two soundtrack, but combined with a number of other textures.) I'm talking about the variation that plays, for instanc...

Re: David Lynch.com Twin Peaks Music Official Thread

Wouldn't it be great if they released a Laura Palamer's Theme bundle that included all the different versions of it that have not been released, including (and add any variations if I'm missing any) -- the Rhodes (?) version playing in the pilot when Cooper plays the tape of Laura for Donna -- the k...

Re: David Lynch.com Twin Peaks Music Official Thread

Does anyone else feel like a crack addict, checking the site every half hour to see if there's any new stuff? There's been lots of talk about what people want. Here are some cues that either haven't been mentioned or not much at all: -- the bouncy, jazzy music that plays when the pine weasel escapes...

Re: David Lynch.com Twin Peaks Music Official Thread

Cooped wrote:I really want a full version of the track I have always called 'Laura Palmer's Ghost'; the version of LP's theme played in ep 1 during the slowed down picnic video...anyone else a fan?
I'm with you. Can't wait to get this one.

Re: David Lynch.com Twin Peaks Music Official Thread

Can't wait to get to work to download these new tracks. As for what else I'd like to see, I don't know that anyone else has specifically mentioned the staccato, electric-guitar-ish-sounding version of Laura's theme that plays in the pilot, when Cooper is interrogating Donna at the sheriff's station ...
