Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
I'm only partially through the book myself, but from what I have read here I already know that the archivist, at least for a former portion, is Major Briggs. What I find strange is the obviously doctored and false documents, such as Douglas Milford's Roswell pass. The Pass doesn't seem to have a si...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
Very good points. And imagine if in S3 Laura never died, since there's an alternative reality. That she and Coop interact in the "real world". And that she's the new killer. Laura having a doppleganger in the lodge in the last episode of S2 could link to this idea - gives the "meanwh...

If I recall, there is a cut scene from the pilot with Greta. She was Johnny's nurse.

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
I would have loved to see Lynch direct Ontkean driving a truck backwards in Twin Peaks. I thought I read somewhere that he'd be driving the truck directly into the Black Lodge to save Cooper... The mental image I have of Sheriff Truman backing a truck through the red curtains and knocking over the ...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
While I generally lean more toward Team "Mark Screwed Up" than Team "Intentional Intricate Plan" when it comes to the discrepancies in TSHoTP, one thing particularly stood out to me in my preseries reread. Mark went out of his way to include the dramatic 1968 season of the Twin ...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
This may have been mentioned before but, according to the Cooper bio, the letter under Teresa Banks's fingernail appeared to be typed by a Smith-Corona Model 99. Not quite the same model used by the Archivist, and the Banks investigation in the book is wildly different from what we're shown in FWWM...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
I like the idea of Twin Peaks having a fluid canon. Not everything has to fit into a logical and coherent narrative. If certain details don't fit, that actually heightens the mystery in the sense that it forces us to investigate even harder. Even if we stay within the parameters of the TV show and F...

Re: Windom Earle storyline- what was wrong, what was right
I'm not really into that "BOB killed Laura to get to Cooper" theory myself, I was just reminded of it. And it doesn't fit with FWWM at all. But yeah, Earle always made me think of Frank Gorshin's The Riddler. His initial intro with Leo finding him in the woods was very eerie, but by the ti...

Re: Windom Earle storyline- what was wrong, what was right
Very good breakdown and I agree with pretty much everything you've said. I also think the overall nature of the storyline was contrived. It just so happens that the town where Cooper is called to investigate a murder is the same place that houses an entrance to a dimension that his former partner/a...

Re: Windom Earle storyline- what was wrong, what was right
One thing I always wondered about Earle: what was the original incident that had him sent to the asylum? We know he stabbed Cooper, killed his wife, etc. But Cooper mentions that Caroline Earle was in witness protection, for a crime Windom might have committed. Was she in witness protection going to...

She had a brief stint on Invitation to Love, did a few yogurt commercials and recently an adult diaper commercial which has made her something of a joke among her peers. She walks d...

Re: Alternate Twin Peaks S3
- continued - - There are no more owls in Twin Peaks. With Cooper/BOB fleeing to Tibet and most of the forest knocked down, no one has seen an owl in town for many, many years. Twin Peaks is flooded with tourists though, who come to see the "quaint" restaurants, go snow-skiing on the edge ...

Re: Alternate Twin Peaks S3
Have you thought out how the narrative of the season would play out or just the concepts for each of the characters involved? Either way great work! Somewhat. I've thought of different big plot points / moments, but haven't taken the time to figure out the best sequence of events for them. I guess ...

Re: Alternate Twin Peaks S3
I also have an interest in the concept of idiot savant Leo Johnson. It's such an absurd concept but I feel like it could work in a hilariously odd way. Yeah, there's just something about it that works. A truck driver with an extensive knowledge of theoretical physics could come in handy when dealin...
