Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
It's frustrating when we don't know what continuity issues are intentional and which ones are errors because I'm sure not all of them mean something. We can say "Oh Mark is a genius, it's all an elaborate game!" but I honestly don't think that's the case. I think some of it is and some of...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
Something I haven't seen referenced -- possibly inconsequential, but sorta interesting: Sixteen-year-old Andrew Packard closes his newspaper article with the "there is more in heaven and Earth" quote from Hamlet (which he says he learned from Mrs. Loesch, his English teacher). Later, on p....

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
Another gaffe in the audiobook: the narrator of Josie's autopsy report claims to be Dan Hayward, but the signature in the book (as well as common sense, re: the timeline) indicate that it should be WILL Hayward.

] Isn't Lynch a 'conspiracy theorist' since he was on Alex Jones's show before :-)? I don't really agree with MF's take on conspiracy theories. Sometimes things are much deeper and it isn't just a lone gunman. I agree, but once you go too far down the rabbit hole, the conspiracy theories can get ou...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
I'm about halfway into the audiobook (having already read the whole book in print form). I have to say, it's a little disappointing that Kyle seems to be trying to sound as much like a traditional audiobook narrator as possible, deliberately steering clear of typical Cooper intonations. I know his v...

Re: SPOILERS: Inconsistencies in the Secret History of Twin Peaks
I don't think I've seen this mentioned yet -- the dates in the book for the Ed / Norma / Hank love triangle don't add up. The football fumble occurred in November '68 (so Hank & Ed were still in HS). They graduated (presumably in June '69) and Ed shipped out to Vietnam, Hank courted Norma and pr...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
1. ...badly worded but true? Rewatching that scene after the trailer showed us that Hank&Norma postcard, I found a glaring hole there: Norma's motives. The backstory was there but incomplete... that sudden thing with Hank is very suspicious and smacks of plot hook for future dramatic reveals......

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18
Were you allowed to take photos with Mark? Nope, in the interest of time, no posed photos and no personalized messages, but you could get an additional TP-related item signed in addition to the book. The "interest of time" thing is kind of funny because he easily could have taken a photo ...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
I haven't listened to the whole of the audiobook yet, but I'm wondering if we can start putting the cast to the sections they read. I'm trying to figure out if these actors will give us some clues on how to decipher the book. Can anybody help me fill in the blanks? Mark Frost - there's an article b...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18
I wonder how many people attended in NY? I would estimate 150. There were three sections (left, center and right), with ten rows in each section. The rows on the left (where I sat) had five seats each. I believe the center and right had the same number of seats, although I didn't count. It's possib...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
Hoping that someone at some point posts a "who's who" of the audiobook narrators, because I have a tin ear for this sort of thing. I've finished Disc 1, and am not at all sure if I've heard any voices I should have recognized.

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
So on the audiobook, the narrator (sorry, I haven't ID'ed which voices are which) says "classical natuary" where I'm 99% it should be "classical statuary" (page 17 in the book). When I read the book, I assumed this referred to the statue in the Red Room. This is interesting from ...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
Boy. I just started the audiobook and the beginning is pretty tedious. The narrator reads every form in its entirety, including stuff like "DO NOT WRITE IN THESE SPACES." I'm gonna try to stick it out to see if there are any variations (and to hear the familiar voices), but this thing was ...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
For me, the issue is like the page in MLMT about Coop investigating Teresa that contradicts FWwM. It doesn't really affect the overall story or who the characters are, it just makes it harder to get lost in fiction. Sort of like reading a bad newspaper article. When the facts don't line up, you beg...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread
For some reason, I don't think they'll have an opening credits sequence like they did back in the 90s and will just integrate the credits into the opening scene, like most shows do nowadays. This is true of most NETWORK and BASIC cable shows, simply because commercials are continuously eating more ...
