Re: The Cowboy and the Frenchman

what's interesting is that i'm pretty sure that only parts of it are from that 16MM mystery bonus which makes it even stranger. Just did a side-by-side comparison. I can say definitively that there's no footage exclusive to those videos. It's all from 16MM. Not a leak, just an illegal posting of of...

Re: Hotel Room.. discussion and interpretations

have anyone read the third play Gifford wrote for the series? he published it in a book with "Tricks" and "Blackout". would be very interesting to read.. also if anyone have read it, are there any differences or notable things that shed light on "Tricks" and "Blac...

DKL tells a great anecdote in The Art Life about a Dylan concert. It has a priceless quite from DKL at the end that delighted me as a huge fan of both men.

Re: Lynch 3 kickstarter

It benefits from being far more cohesive than the IE-era Lynch documentaries, but in a way, I preferred those, because my favorite parts were the on-set footage which is (expectedly) absent here. DKL fans will have heard or read many of the anecdotes before, but there's some terrific old home video ...

Re: Twin Peaks Reunion in Entertainment Weekly

Btw, for the curious, DKL wears the hideous yellow watch throughout The Art Life. Either his latest OCD fad or maybe a gift from Lula?

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31

Anyway, rockin' good news! Despite being an OCD continuity nut, I enjoyed much of TSHoTP a good deal. Excited to see what Mark has planned for what may end up being TP's final all-cards-on-the-table last stand. Continuity issues in Peaks have never bugged me. I think because I can't expect material...

Re: The Cowboy and the Frenchman

Dunno if this helps, but I just watched The Art Life , which also features cutaways to a lot of footage in this vein. It's been awhile since I sat through 16MM -- most of the stuff in TAL felt familiar to me, but there was definitely new stuff (including on set footage of DKL and baby Jennifer with ...

Weird that they basically scooped themselves with that tease last week, only to let Amazon double scoop them, and finally they release an anticlimactic official announcement. Anyway, rockin' good news! Despite being an OCD continuity nut, I enjoyed much of TSHoTP a good deal. Excited to see what Mar...

Re: The Cowboy and the Frenchman

Something I always wondered about though, what the HELL is what is known as "Alphabets 2" and "Alphabets 3" that has been floating around the net.. some pretty creepy stuff, though they are obviously outtakes from the filming of "The Alphabet".. has some great scenes a...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

Based on reports that all all actors except MacLachlan got scale, it seems unlikely. Who's bankrolling this anyway? Just Showtime and Rancho Rosa?

Re: is there any other show that even comes close to your obsession with TP?

I think in most cases it's a futile endeavor to debate what did or didn't influence a specific scene, unless it's REALLY overt ( True Detective season 2 dream scene) or someone involved in the scene specifically puts the influence on the record. For instance, Matt Weiner mentions on the audio commen...

Re: The Random Twin Peaks Thread

I'm surprised anew on every rewatch how criminally underutilized Grace Zabriskie was. After Episode 4, she has a voice-only cameo in Episode 5 (possibly reused from another episode? She's not credited), then disappears until Episode 8....appears in Coop's dream in reused footage from the Pilot in E...

Re: Episode 12

There's an odd amount of violence against women in this episode: Coop hitting Nancy (somewhat mitigated/justified by his anger regarding Audrey, but still arguably unbefitting of an agent of his standing and prowess), Jean stabbing Blackie (and in a beautifully creepy unscripted moment seemingly sav...
