Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I have seen episodes 1-5 thrice and episode 6 twice. I hope to see episodes 7 to 9, and will then reassess. So many things to do not make sense. What is the real point of conversation with Denise and the phone conversation with Albert, mentioning drinking bourbon in female company? I fail to see a t...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Phillip Gerard appeals to Dougie Cooper not to die, I think some of us here send the same message to the show itself: it feels like it is on verge od dying. There still is time to dig itself out of it (and there goes the Dr. Amp analogy). I have used these 6 parts we saw as a first milestone, I will...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

The show, not only the lodge, for me has lost its aura of mystique. Lodge though in particular, as elaborated by some posters here, no doubt about it. Compare the original and its scenes to what we have now: the night scene with Maddy posing as Laura, James and Donna in the woods, Jacques' apartment...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)

I have watched the original show back when it aired, and I never expected a nostalgia trip, it would not work, it would dry up pretty quickly. The pacing is very slow, but there are clues that it is on purpose, I mean the first time we encounter DoppleCoop the music is very slowed down, and DoppleCo...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Well, I have liked the first three episodes, and I never expected a nostalgia trip. I mean, I never expected that Cooper would get out, grab the doppelganger back into the lodge, rough him up, undo what episode 29 did and call it a day. It need not be all in Twin Peaks the town, spreading it out did...

Re: Parts 1 + 2 (Spoilers)

Also, the box in NYC has that pipe-like opening that I think is purposely made to look like a coffee cup. Could that be the reference to a "coffee cup flying out of a window" that we heard Mark Frost referring to? :) Looking at it that way, it makes it appear as if one stares at a cup to &...

Re: Parts 1 + 2 (Spoilers)

I have only seen parts 1 and 2, twice thus far. It took the second viewing to appreciate it even more, I found them brilliant. I did expect the Return to be darker and it was. Now, what really captured my imagination were the color tones/palettes of the different scenes. New York City, very high-tec...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks

Hello everybody, I am happy to have finally joined the group! I have followed the forum since the early part of previous decade when I was interested in some aspects of the “waiting room” which led me to this place (I was in the late teens when the show originally aired). Considering there were a fe...
