Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
" . . . . and never really cared about the Annie character." There's your bottom line. Or Lynch's. Lynch left Annie in the hospital (per FWWM outtake), so with her parked there indefinitely, Cooper was free to get hitched to someone else and all . . . . just never would have guessed Dianne...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
Looks like someone had the same opinion as I did. From the Brooklyn Vegan: "David Lynch brought his daily online weather reports back last year in the midst of the pandemic, which has been a nice source of comfort during a difficult time. Most of them are pretty similar -- LA weather don't chan...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
I'm a little late to this topic, but I'm also a little puzzled by the responses I've seen online. It appears David Lynch said a couple of days ago -- and I quote -- “Not today, but tomorrow, I will have an announcement to make. Should be going up to 69 degrees Fahrenheit this afternoon, around 21 Ce...
Re: IMDb Poll
Nice list, but I would certainly add the Jumping Man. My choice would probably be "Frances Bay and Jonathan J. Leppell" - here I would follow the previous comment and say there is still something indelibly creepy and disturbing about that mask coupled with their out-of-the-BLUE appearance...
IMDb Poll
For anyone wanting in on the fun. There's a current poll on IMDb - "David Lynch's Creepiest Character"
https://www.imdb.com/poll/sMsS5D0eBZc/?ref_=po_ho
There are 24 choices. All of them worthy.
I voted Woodsman.
Why not?

Re: Episode 8 (Season 2 Premiere)
Thoughts on this rewatch: A lot of stuff to love in this episode but it also drags in places and there's a lack of focus. The hospital food joke isn't that funny and outstays its welcome. Leisurely 3-minute opening - Kimmy Roberston moved to main cast. Piper Laurie no longer listed so Catherine's d...

Re: Episode 1
It's strange that Meals On Wheels is mentioned at all as I can't imagine they had the Harold Smith story in mind that far ahead. I suppose it can be thrown into the scrapheap of ideas that were toyed with and then later revisited. Unlike whatever they had in mind in Episode 2, with Leland lurking b...

Re: the Missing Pieces
I was later reminded of a piece I read that discusses the repetitive "3's" in TP's. So for any who've not come across this article by now the link is below. I don't think I agree with the Albert hypothesis: https://medium.com/@fatecolossal/the-dream-of-time-and-space-breaking-the-code-of-t...

Re: the Missing Pieces
Could be. I have started a re-watch recently and in episode 2 or 3 Hawk and Cooper tell Leland they will help him "home." Leland repeats "home" 3 times. In TP The Return, much is made of the number 3. Audrey repeating "what' 3x upon awaking from her stupor is one example. Bu...

Re: Characters that could still be alive.
I don't think Lynch cares for such characters as Josie, Catherine, Pete, Leo, etc. anymore. Those are dusty, long-since forgotten (or retconned) staples of the old TP which he pretty much did everything that was in his power to discontinue with The Return (it's downright farcical of him to continue...

Re: Characters that could still be alive.
I don’t subscribe to a straightforward sci-fi “alternate universe” interpretation of P17/P18. Under such an interpretation, however, I imagine the events that led to both characters’ deaths would still play out. The Eckhardt storyline doesn’t really have anything to do with Laura, so if she disappe...

Re: Episode 1
Just began my own rewatch the other day and concerning the one armed man, isn't it a bit of serendipity that Hawk loses him in a room bathed in blue? We can pretend it's a deliberate attempt to foreshadow a Blue Rose case. One curiosity is that Cooper asks Norma for the list of recipients for the M...

Re: the Missing Pieces
I'm remembering Laura saying, quite emphatically, "I'm going HOME Bobby." Adam, in Mulholland Drive, telling Cynthia (3x no less as if clicking his heels together): "I'm going HOME." And the late great Dougie happily announcing "Home" to Janey_E and Sonny. More referenc...

Re: Dream Dialogue
A number of years ago during a re-watch I tried to catch every use of the word "dream" or any derivative thereof. I know I didn't catch them all (like Donna telling Audrey to "dream on" or Cooper telling Diane about his dream of "large tasteless gumdrops" for instance)....
