Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
For most of us who have sat with the LES for more than a month now, I'd imagine it has to take more effort to come here and complain and be angry than to try to accept the show for what it is and engage with it. Personally, I really hated some moments, especially the finale, but a good chunk of the ...

Re: Theories & Speculation (SPOILERS)
Before it was pointed out to me that Moby was part of the band during Rebekah del Rico's performance, I thought he was the guy in the glass box photo with Mr. C, playing basically a fictionalized version of himself (i.e. "Musician") who Mr. C knew somehow, maybe through his wealth and all ...

Re: the Missing Pieces
Holy cow, this. The scene with the intercom felt like a direct setup for Lucy's cell phone shenanigans in the LES.LostInTheMovies wrote:Lucy definitely seems to be based almost as much on the version of the character in the Missing Pieces as anything in the preceding 30 episodes! Especially with the phone thing.

I actually cancelled my Facebook account after the events of the last year, but give them my best regards. [laughs] hey, so did i! me and mark frost, we're like this , man. that "deus ex machina" answer in regards to freddie and bob was pretty interesting. more ancient mythology, if you s...

FWWM isn't THAT great of a film, but it's damn entertaining for what it is. it was also the first lynch film i ever saw, even before the series, and it's what got me into him in the first place, so it's cool to see more people appreciating it now.

what would they call it now that the home release has been changed to "a limited event series"?

kyle maclachlan's stilted delivery of "i'll take a rain check" at the beginning of this part creeps me out.

No point other than to revel in negativity and pessimism, which is what this series did and why it felt so different from the original.Nighthawk wrote:Of course it is possible to make Cooper a defeated, damaged character who makes the same mistakes over and over again, but what is the point of that?

i'm definitely a #2, although to be fair i started having reservations as early as part 3. the finale is what pushed me over the edge into outright dislike/hatred though, for reasons that others itt have elaborated far better than i could.

Multiple people unashamedly bashing Mullholland Drive? No wonder I can't get down with you people! Wow... i loved mulholland drive when i saw it in theaters in 2001, but i was also 14 at the time. it's easier for me to see it for what it is now: a failed tv pilot with a tacked-on twist ending. gran...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Been reading the previous pages about how TP has now faded from a lot of peoples minds. Well, I'm not one of them. I can't get it out of my head. I want to, since the disappointment rings its ugly head every time, but I just can't. I keep revisiting scenes and characters, the thoughts just pop into...
