Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I really think that Frost and Lynch saw s3 as the 'doppleganger' season and that's why we have unsatisfying stories, character situations and a lack of mood. No shot of trees blowing in the wind seductively as such (instead we get speeded-up footage of trees trembling), only mention of damn GOOD co...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

At the end of the day, don't we expect great art to be divisive? It's like the classic scenario where two friends go to a museum of modern art;; whatever one thinks is a work of genius the other thinks of as a piece of utter pretentious garbage. Neither of the friends is right or wrong; the art spe...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Which brings me to NormoftheAndes' response: I hope what I just wrote makes it clear I was not trolling. I'm sorry if my cynical comment offended you in any way as that was not my intention. I'm not hiding the new season of my beloved show has left me disappointed, perhaps even profoundly, and I'm ...

each their own - but for me there was never the brilliance of exploring real human nature like their was in the first season. The peeling of the layers of the onion with these characters. -Bobby and Audrey being reevaluated with their respective Jacoby and crying in the corner scenes as an example....

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Total nonsense. It is readily apparent that Frost and Lynch both care about the fans and Twin Peaks. Completely ignoring most of the continuity, dismissing characters such as Cooper to side notes and contradicting every theme and mood in the original speak loudly to the contrary. What they wanted t...

Re: Season 3, The First Draft - Speculation etc.

I have a feeling the only Audrey scene in the original script is the confrontation with Richard. I highly doubt they only offered Audrey one scene. Obviously I don't know for sure, but I can't see it. Until we hear otherwise, my guess is that she wanted scenes that dealt with Audrey's feelings, lif...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Somehow I think both they and I can live with that. Oh I'm fully aware they don't give a shit about Twin Peaks or its fans. Total nonsense. It is readily apparent that Frost and Lynch both care about the fans and Twin Peaks. Quite a lot of fans find season 3 alienating and they're angry about it, b...

Re: What's next? What chance do think there is we will see a season 4?

I don't believe the show will or should come back, but if it does, it MUST be the same set-up as this time with Lynch directing and at least co-scripting the whole deal, complete control, all that. Whether an additional writer or two is brought on is a secondary consideration. Having any other set-...

No. What was the comment? https://www.reddit.com/r/twinpeaks/comments/7d5l5m/all_what_was_she_hinting_at_i_transcribed_what/ Interesting. Kimmy worded her statement in a very confusing manner. From what I can tell this might have been David's wife, Emily, in a car talking to another woman, with the...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Yaxomoxay - I associate 'its in our house now' more with the Palmer house, if it has to be linked to a specific location. But what I mean is that the abuse that happened in that house in Twin Peaks has moved into the Lodge and the trauma it caused has created manifold effects in there and the real ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Dougie is just surprised at the door of the car being opened, that's all. It takes him by surprise - as if he's lost in a daydream. Which he is right? :) He gasps before the car door is opened. So he's either reacting to the sight of the red door or to the appearance of the driver who is about to o...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Ah ok so the argument is that Cooper released something damaging from the Black Lodge - on a cosmic level? I would tend to agree with that more than any of these definitive ideas about Mr C raping Audrey etc. I think it’s pretty obvious that Mr. C raped Audrey on a “literal” story level, although, ...
