Re: Tom Sizemore accused of molesting 11yo
It won't be fun to see Tom Sizemore on further rewatches of season 3. I guess The tangent discussion of how we as viewers deal with the conflict between admiring the art and condemning the artist is interesting, definitely one I've been mulling over as we watch the bottom fall out on a long history...

Re: Parts 1 & 2 - My log has a message for you & The stars turn and a time presents itself (SPOILERS)
So rewatched 1 and 2 yesterday. Main questions I still have: - Who is the man posing as Jeffries? He doesn't have the southern accent, but him mentioning Bob links him to the Lodge. At certain moments it kind of feels like it's Albert, but the Bob-remark debunks that theory. - Is it fuuutuuur or is ...

Re: POLL - Do you Like Season Three and How long have you been watching twin peaks.
I love season three. They are airing it again on Belgian commercial television, so I decided to watch it again. Part 1 is the only one aired so far. I first saw the original series 9 years ago and have watched it three times in its entirety. The Return is something quite different, but I don't see h...

Re: Music From The New Series
I really think "Heartbreaking" is beautiful, but I do feel it's a shame they didn't put the upbeat part in it as well. I loved the dynamic between the two parts.

Re: Creepiest/scariest scene(s) [Spoilers]
If the first and second series were scary, I guess you could call the third uncomfortable. There were a lot more scenes that combined fear with an uneasy feeling. Like the scene with Richard en the girl in the bang bang, or Richard and his grandmother, or the Lincoln Woodsman and the head, Cooper en...

Re: Ronette and American Girl
Although Phoebe A played 'American Girl' there's nothing in the plot that suggested she was actually Ronette. Now that Naido has been revealed as Diane does this change things at all? There is the suggestion that BadCoop must have killed the 'real' Diane or at least taken her to the Red Room (and b...

I do get why Julee Cruise was disappointed. That song lasts 6 minutes, about the same as Rebekah Del Rio's song. And it's probably cut after two and a half. Weird.

Re: Music From The New Series
I must say that the Roadhouse performances do work on the album. They give me the kind of nostalgic feeling that comes wih the ending of the Twin Peak-parts :) Not to mention the wonderful, broody and scary song by Trouble. Too bad they just made one song for the series. I'd love to have an entire a...

Re: David Lynch should not get away by declaring TP as a "dream"
All the anger. It's weird. I spent countless hours on this universe, only to finally get a middle finger from its creators. Part 18 destroyed Twin Peaks, wether it is a dream, a parallel universe or a pocket dimension. I think some anger is justified. Why? If a band I've been loving for seven album...

Re: David Lynch should not get away by declaring TP as a "dream"
What do you suggest. A court case? If Lynch and Frost wanted it to end with the revelation that it's a child's fantasy and he made drawings of all the Lodge figures they are allowed to. If it's all a literal dream, they are allowed to. I do think that the dream-theory is possible without it being to...

Same, probably. I was getting serious Un Chien Andalou vibes with that scèneHarry Yallrite wrote:For me it has to be the frog-moth crawling into the girl while "My Prayer" was on the radio.

If The Return is the end, that's fine. I did enjoy the journey a lot, though. Haven't had this with another contemporary series this way.

Re: Twin Peaks/Odyssey/Ulysses
It would have been much more interesting if Cooper would have been spitted out of the Lodge in, let's say, Russia, and he had to travel all the way back to Twin Peaks living multiple adventures (not as Dougie, but as his whole self). That would have been fun and new. I don't know. Might be just as ...

Twin Peaks/Odyssey/Ulysses
I already posted this somewhere else, after part 6 or something. Now that the series have finished, I thought it would be interesting to revisit the thought, as I've seen it pop up elsewhere as well. First of all, about the narrative. I happened to have read James Joyce's Ulysses a couple of months ...
