Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/

I'm pretty sure we had that intv in before and eventually argued ourselves against it. And no, for the fifth time, I do not think the book only covers to the end of the original series. I think people are just getting hung up on dubious wording from various articles and press releases which often c...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/

From a Mark Frost interview in an Ojai newspaper earlier this spring: “I’ve just finished the first draft,” he says. “It goes back to the 18th century and weaves the tangled, mysterious history of the town, its people and the region, up through and including the events of the old series.” http://the...

Re: Recommendations for Watching While Waiting for Season 3

As I see it, there are two ways to compare shows to TP (I'm sure there are more); the shows that look/remind you of TP (like Northern Exposure or Wayward Pines) and the shows that hit the same emotional frequence as TP. For me, in regards to the latter, there were two shows that gave me, to a certai...

Mr. Reindeer wrote:(More on-topic: I enjoy that scene a lot, even though it's very clearly behind-the-scenes wish-fulfillment and has nothing to do with anything else that comes before or after.
I really hope there will be tons of scenes that has nothing to do with anything else that comes before or after. :)

Hey, I didn't notice mention of it on this thread, unless I've missed it..anyone know when they changed the text/description on the main teaser page for Frost's book? http://us.macmillan.com/static/fib/twin-peaks/ I know we have good intel that says otherwise but they are still avoiding any kind of...

Re: The Random Twin Peaks Thread

Anyone know were/what/when this is from? Found out the photographer is one John Midgley, but what's the context of this? Is it supposed to be bad Coop? http://john-midgley.com/kyle-maclachlan/ There are a few more on his website. It seems to me just to be a photo-project that is obviously borrowing...

Re: The Unorthodox/Controversial TP Opinion Thread

I don't have a hard time believing that Lynch was interested in revisiting her, particularly given his fascination with bisexuality in his more recent works. Not that it matters, but just for the record(?), I don't think Dennis/Denise was bisexual, hence the line "I still put my pants on one l...

Re: The Unorthodox/Controversial TP Opinion Thread

Denise was fun, but if she had been played by some no name actor rather than David Duchovny I very much doubt we would be seeing her again. Yep, Duchovny's recast is proof to me that Lynch and Frost are indeed doing fanservice in the new season. You have a really low standard for "proof."...

Apologize if this has been shared here before, but finding a pre-order for the audio book (CD) on Amazon was news to me :D : https://www.amazon.co.uk/Secret-History-Twin-Peaks/dp/1427270678/ref=pd_sim_14_3?ie=UTF8&dpID=51H%2BEVBjf-L&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=H8NM...

You mean horrifying as in creepy (e.g. Ronette's dream/vision at the hospital) or horrifying as in traumatizing (e.g. like a child getting killed)?

Re: unanswered questions / mistakes / etc.

Bob had already infected her enough that she was cooperating without realizing it. I assume Laura didn't want Bob to come in thru her window at night, raping her and what not, so why didn't she lock the window properly? Given the logistical improbability and complete redundancy of Leland climbing t...
