Re: Possible SPOILERS: S3 casting & returning actors/charact

Obviously this is crew, but, is it worth putting Duwayne Dunham and Peter Deming down as Editor and D.O.P. respectively?

Might be nice for any new comers to just have all that information together on this main page as well.

Re: How will the new Twin Peaks be received?

It's not going to take the world by storm in the way the original run did, naturally. The landscape of television is just far more competitive, as we're really in a golden age for serialized drama. But, I think it's going to do very well for Showtime (if Penny Dreadful can do well on their channel, ...

Re: 'The Secret Lives of Twin Peaks' new novel by M. Frost 2

Surprised there's still no news on the book - at least not that I can find. Makes me wonder if they are delaying the release until after the show, or if it's just a matter of the publishers waiting to get a good idea of when the show will be released, so they can finalize a release date (either bef...

Re: Possible SPOILERS: S3 casting & returning actors/charact

Maybe we should use this thread as like a checklist? Once actors are spotted on set and the such.

Re: 'The Secret Lives of Twin Peaks' new novel by M. Frost 2

Reached out to the publicist for the book and confirmed it IS being published, just in case anyone had doubts. "Thanks for reaching out. We are publishing, but I don’t yet have a release date, I’m afraid. I’ll let you know as that changes." Thanks much for the update! Hopefully its releas...

Re: Twin Peaks: Season Three confirmed for 2016 on Showtime

I'd like to say I'm very much against fan edits that have artistic pretensions. If its goofy and all in good fun, I'm usually pretty ok with that. One of my favorite mash up edit thingies was the Mulholland Drive video of Miley's "Party in the USA" that was sublime. So it's cool for fun. ...

Re: Twin Peaks: Season Three confirmed for 2016 on Showtime

But I admit I have not watched the fanedit yet. I will definitely share my impression when I do. In my opinion, Fire Walk With Me was not really designed as a coherent piece of cinema (the script reads like a grabbag). The fact that it arguably succeeds is such has much more to do with how it was s...

All I'll say is that it's on the sites you'd probably think it is, and try searching Q2 FWWM (rather than Fire Walk With Me).

Re: 'The Secret Lives of Twin Peaks' new novel by M. Frost 2

I am so glad that this book didn't become a casualty of a failed television deal. Now I'm even more excited to read it. I think it's great that Mark Frost kind of gets to do his own FWWM, meaning a TP-related work that's under his direction, so to speak. I assume that there was some discussion w/ L...

So, is it a safe assumption this book is happening again as well then?

Re: 'The Secret Lives of Twin Peaks' new novel by M. Frost 2

I'd definitely agree about Windom. He was an interesting idea for a character, but I find his over-the-top speeches to be a bit grating. If you read the script to the final episode, Windom Earle has a ton of hammy dialogue throughout the Black Lodge sequences. Thankfully Lynch returned and did what...

Re: 'The Secret Lives of Twin Peaks' new novel by M. Frost 2

I always viewed that and the Diane Keaton episode as almost the nadir of the show, and right after the drawer pull scene there's a noticeable jump in quality. I see it more as things starting to get back on track, still straining, but improving, with some great sequences like this one among the mes...
