Re: Freddie's fight scene in part 17
Let me just say - if there had been no Season 3 of Twin Peaks and I had written a fan script for one depicting the exact same scenes of Freddie punching out a Bob Orb with his super-strength green glove, I'll bet everyone here would call it silly and dumb and make zero effort to do any mental gymnas...

Re: Freddie's fight scene in part 17
Still don't care for it. To me, it feels too silly and too literal. BUF's work on their "CGI Bob" remains impressive, however. If I had to edit this scene using only the available footage, I would begin with Cooper placing the Ring on his doppelganger's finger and cut to a sequence contain...

Phyllis Hastings should be on this list. And maybe the Major Briggs that popped up on the radar dozens on times in the past 25 years.

Re: Twin Peaks The Return: The Mixed/Moderately Disappointed Thread
If I had editing software and skills, I would have done one myself. They will show up in numbers eventually, no matter how much the naysayers frown upon it. It's amazing just how many fan films one could make from the source material of the The Return . You could take all the Dougie Jones and Las V...

Re: The Lodges and the Convenience Store
I think the simplest explanation for what we've seen in The Return so far, is that the Fireman's castle on the purple sea = the White Lodge. The Convenience Store = the Black Lodge. And that leaves the Red Room as the place where beings from both can meet, which fits nicely with the symbolism of it'...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Lucy used to be ditzy and Andy slow witted but kind. Now they've gone full retard (that's not meant offensively... Even the scene with Bobby felt a little bit like that. It's a difficult scene for me because at once it's the closest I have felt The Return has come to the original but it felt mockin...

Re: Theories & Speculation (SPOILERS)
Some aspects of Dougie Jones' world are making me wonder if we can be sure he's actually in the real world yet at the same time as the Bad Dale. They aren't big things. They're little things. And they certainly aren't "evidence", just odd details that jump out. Cooper switches places with ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Reading over this thread, I've seen a few comments to the effect of ' well no one can really know what Frost really thinks of what Lynch has done with the material they collaborated on together... '. Frost has a Twitter. Follow it. His tweets have been proud and glowing concerning the premiere and a...

Re: Parts 1 + 2 (Spoilers)
Some more questions/observations after rewatching Parts 1 and 2. Let's dive into specifics, people. I guess we'll have to keep an eye out for the numbers 4-3-0 and a "Richard" and "Linda". So it seems like Bill Hastings has some kind of memory loss the night of the murder, but he...

Re: Parts 1 + 2 (Spoilers)
Very first thoughts: This is fascinating and weird in a way I wasn't expecting from Lynch, but still bears many of his distinctive hallmarks. The kinds of effects he's experimenting with feel quite unexpected in a Lynch production. Some of the stuff made me think of something out of Doctor Who . But...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
Saw Mark tonight in Portland. He said "You are going to like where Hawk ends up". "You might remember Lana Milford, Miss Twin Peaks 1989". Woah...could it be? Hawk as The Sheriff of Twin Peaks PD like he always deserved? Probably not but that's still exciting to hear from Frost....

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
Hi guys! As the poster of the Mark Frost comments, I just want you to remember those are not direct quotes, they are paraphrasing, at least what he said about Annie specifically. I was meeting the co-creator of my favorite TV show so my mind wasn't totally working properly haha. But it was very sim...

Re: Theories Including Season 3 Spoilers Plus TSHOTP
(Cross post from the SPOILERS: TSHOTP thread) It occurs to me that the stuff with Lana, Norma's family history and the hush hush surrounding Annie may be the result of an entire plot point which spiraled out of David and Mark choosing to expand on the significance of the show's final ominous closing...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
Hot take: Annie is like the new Judy. Imagine Mark Frost saying in his best David Bowie impression, " We're not gonna talk about Annie at all, in fact, we're gonna leave her out of this! It occurs to me that the stuff with Lana, Norma's family history and the hush hush surrounding Annie may be...
