Re: Share your favourite FAN THEORIES

Unrelated point, just couldn't find a more suitable thread to post it on and didn't think it needed its own thread: Does anyone think that the character "Theresa" in TP/FWWM might have been have got her name from Frost/Lynch thinking of Theresa Russell, who was a well-known actress in the ...

Re: FWWM Bluray UK Release 4th June 2012 - Buyer Beware

I'll be boycotting any new FWWM release that doesn't have the deleted scenes. I think that the only way we can get the various rights parties to understand that we would like 1) a good transfer, 2) extras and 3) deleted scenes is stop allowing them to milk us with reissues and boxed sets by refusing...

What was this scene? Did you see it?

Re: Twin Peaks Gazette Message Board

I agree, Gordon. There's only a limited number of things to talk about re TP after you get past a certain point. Also the fact that the long-anticipated film IE turned out to be...well, not universally popular with DL fans, did have an effect. Because TPG was also a DL forum and I like DL in general...

Re: Twin Peaks Gazette Message Board

all I have to say, yet again, it had no way to do with members from the Gazette. any member at all. I was mod for years at that place. Fine, say it again. Regular members visited and posted less and fewer new members joined. Technically the closure was nothing to do with member behaviour but - as a...

Re: Twin Peaks Gazette Message Board

What saddens me is that there were many excellent members that with the disappearance of the Gazette it seems are gone for good... I hoped they would join Dugpa like some of us did, but months pass and there's no sign of them...at least not here... :( For example, Booth... Where are you man? But I'...

Has anyone seen IE in BluRay? Does it show up the digital appearance of the film even more or does it lessen the effect?

Re: Twin Peaks Gazette Message Board

Ah yes, MyOwl, who openly admitted to being in mental institutions, addicted to drugs and pornography and started a thread where he fantasized about having sex with pre-teens. He also had a habit of openly attacking new members there, many of whom never returned. Of course, what he was mainly known...

Nostalgia Chick's review of Dune

How many people here saw the Nostalgia Chick's review of Dune (from summer last year?)? It was a pretty shoddy piece of work, not because it was negative but because it misrepresented the film for comic effect. (For example, the spice is hardly a McGuffin - it is central to the plot.) Even fans will...

Re: Twin Peaks Gazette Message Board

Well, unless Jordan tells us otherwise, we can guess the reason TPG closed seems to be a) the forum getting cranks and b) members stopping visiting. And the 2nd follows the 1st. It's the same way you stop going to a bar when a weirdo starts hanging around all the time and pestering regular patrons. ...

Re: Deleted scenes

With the feverish interest in the FWWM deleted scenes, I'm surprised that the topic of the unused footage from Mulholland Dr. rarely comes up. Well, I think the FWWM deleted scenes cause a fuss because A) there are more TP fans than MD fans and B) this would be last chance to seen any "new&quo...
