Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Twin Peaks the Return was a 100% cash grab. Whether it was the seemingly endless variations of cheap and gaudy merchandise or the endless cameos of Lynch's buddies in the RR, i can't believe I spent as much of my life devoted to a TV show where the creator couldn't give their previous work and the f...

Re: Product Placement in 2017 Twin Peaks (Spoilers)
The Skype scene was total product placement. They could have called it video conference versus calling it by name and having the Skype brand logo on the screen. Perhaps the others are debatable but whenever the brand logo is prominent chances are that the brand has paid to get their product featured...

Re: Tamara Preston - Chrysta Bell (Spoilers)
I was excited years back when it was announced that Lynch would be collaborating with a new female singer. The results were a bit underwhelming however what I couldn't get over was the overall forced "sensual" vibe exhibited on her website. For every song she had released there were 50 ph...

Product Placement in 2017 Twin Peaks (Spoilers)
I've been enjoying the new series thus far but admit am surprised at the level of blatant product placement happening. Perhaps it was required for Lynch to be able to tell the story his way. Here is what stood out for me so far: Blackberry Dell IBM Microsoft Surface Microsoft Skype Alpine Audio Chee...

Re: Missing Pieces subtitles
Thanks. Was hoping someone who had purchased the set outside of UK or US could confirm.

Missing Pieces subtitles
Can anyone who bought the box set outside of the US or UK confirm whether their sets have burned in English subtitles in the Missing Pieces Red Room scenes?

Re: Twin Peaks Blu-Ray Sync issues (spoiler free tech thread
I returned the box, but I encountered the error on several discs. I have an analog receiver with a digital to analog converter. My father had issues using a D to A converter with several titles until he upgraded to a new 5.1 receiver. I realize you no longer have it but I would highly suggest that ...

Re: Twin Peaks Blu-Ray Sync issues (spoiler free tecih threa
I have a new Sony TV and a new Sony Blu Ray player with A/V sync feature and I still can't correct the problem, so that advice is incorrect. Where is the problem you are seeing? I've corrected many a Blu with A/V Sync but didn't have to do so on my player. Perhaps try a friends player switch to a d...

Re: Would Showtime Edit Original Series for Twin Peaks 2016
I definitely wouldn't want them to edit out anything whatsoever. I've personally never understood people who think that any of the storylines are so poor that they detract from the show as a whole. Sure, I like some plot points a lot more than others but I don't think a single one qualifies as 'bad...

Moving Through Time - FWWM Memories
I've now watched the new documentary at least 20 times and I have to say it has now become one of my all time favorites. It is now almost mandatory viewing with the film and missing pieces. I read that dugpa produced it and wanted to say thank you for giving us such a fascinating behind the scenes l...

Re: Twin Peaks Blu-Ray Sync issues (spoiler free tech thread
I think it's apparent that the issue has to do with how the software on the discs is communicating with different devices and that only certain devices have the problem. This may be why it's been so difficult to diagnose... when Amazon has done their testing, are they using devices where there has ...

Re: Twin Peaks Blu-Ray Sync issues (spoiler free tech thread
Wanted to add my 2 cents. I have watched the entire box set top to bottom and absolutely adore it. No audio issues whatsoever. I am using BDP-BX110. I've had sync issues before on my dads Blu-ray with other titles like Man of Steel and Avengers and was able to show him how to use the Audio sync to f...

Re: Twin Peaks Fan Edit
While I enjoyed the - David Duchovny/Jean Renault/Ernie Niles subplot, I think that the whole MT Wentz plot was pretty awful. I would think that cutting those stories would get you to Windom Earle a lot quicker. I often wondered why Audrey wasn't poking her nose around the whole Renault subplot and ...

Re: Twin Peaks Fan Edit
Wow. Sounds like a lot of work but also a great way to trim some of the eye roll moments of the second season. I often felt that no one cared towards the end about keeping the quality of the writing in sync with the Pilot and first Season. I would love to watch these edits if they were made availabl...
