Re: Part 9 - This is the chair (SPOILERS)
I think we will see a funeral for Johnny Horne soon. He was running pretty fucking fast. Would be a good way to bring Audrey into the picture and possibly settle the parentage of Richard Horne.

I immediately thought of Audrey Horne's red pumps from the Pilot.garethw wrote:I'm racking my brain of Twin Peaks trivia and trying to figure out the significance of the red shoes he fixates on. All I can come up with was Lill, but that doesn't seem to fit.Pinky wrote:MacLachlan outdid himself here, that stare was something else. I was transfixed. Poor Coop.
Anyone got anything else?
It's kind of impossible to see Sky Ferriera in Twin Peaks and not think she's Audrey's daughter. She looks just like her. Could "Elle" be a nickname for Linda? Like, everyone calls her "L", so she changed her name to Elle?

No, that was just in the pilot. But the iconic image is too strong to just be there as a coincidence.

God, I love this music. Isn't it too dreamy?

Holy crap... I didn't even think to try this site! The blog entry on the page is clearly a nod to episode 8, don't you guys think?SpookyDollhouse wrote:I love Bill's site it's so charming in a 90s way! http://thesearchforthezone.com/

This is going to be so much fun discovering everything on that website. When you click to go to older journal entries, launches a page which starts playing Twin Peaks music, but very distorted and one can imagine more is hidden there. All the source page says is <a class ="video_btn error_btn" data-id = "radio"

Given that in a couple of days, something's going to be happening up in the mountains, and Jerry's already there, perhaps he's being affected by the absurd mystery of the strange forces of existence already.fearless leader wrote:bEST Line of Part 9: "I am not your foot".
I hope somehow Jerry is the one that ties it all together.

Re: Part 9 - This is the chair (SPOILERS)
Why do the cops and Ike the Spike get the full TP music treatment with the Dear Meadow Shuffle? My family got really upset when I skipped back to the seemingly trivial scene of the detective giving the officer Dougie's coffee cup for prints just to hear the music again. I seriously got chills. But why then? I could understand if was played during the morgue waiting room scene, but in the three stooges' office?

I'm thinking the red shoes evoked a memory of Diane. Diane was wearing red shoes in this ep, and they are probably a staple in her wardrobe. Don't think we ever saw Coop interact with Audrey when she was wearing red shoes.

I love every scene with Bobby Briggs this season. Really love every thing Lynch has done with the character and I love where his story seems to be headed with respect the developments with the Major.
