I'm really looking forward to this--earlier in the year, we had a thread on the book and audio version by the same name. I have both and love David's philosophy. I think it's great that he says artists think they have to suffer in order to be productive, but "when you have a constant migraine, nobody's creating anything." We wouldn't all be here if we didn't universally agree that David is the coolest guy on the planet, but I really love the last line of the article quoting his salary on IMDb as $1000, and David says jokingly, "it's my per minute rate." A salary more fit for the rock star that he is.

To be honest I'm rather disappointed by this news. I'd much rather Lynch made another movie. In the world of fiction he's a master but when it comes to the real world he lacks the required tools of sceptical or critical thinking.

For some reason I could imagine this laying somewhere between 1 Giant Leap and An Inconvenient Truth. Although I've never seen American Chronicles, so it might be more like that, which may well be nothing like 1GL/AIT.

Maybe he turned the movie project into web based miniseries?

I quite enjoyed the philosophy and insight of the book, though I begrudgingly admit that I think it's time better spent making more art, as opposed to this documentary.

Erm, don't get me wrong, I'm a pretty die-hard Lynch fan, so I'll be there cash in hand to see it, but... um.

Like... were it this or Ronnie Rocket, I think I know which I'd prefer.

I agree instead of talking about how great creativity and TM are show the benefits of them by doing something.

Anybody have a clue as to progress on this? I haven't heard a thing and can't find it listed on IMDB.

I have no idea. I think there is a chance he's still doing it since he's been traveling all over the place plugging TM and filming it but all that could just be for DLF TV now.

Did some clips ended up in The Interview Project and David decided to go to India to shoot the Yogi doc?

Yeah. David tried to stop screening on Film Festival in Berlin last year.
It's in cinemas in Poland now (small cinemas in big cities). I haven't chance to see it yet.
