Rare TP Clips!

Post by Wood »

My high school friend was obsessive over Twin Peaks when it was on and taped almost everything he could find about Twin Peaks. He recently dusted off his tapes and burnt the material to DVD. A lot of it I've never seen online.

You can download the DVD here: http://www.mininova.org/tor/637977

You'll need a bittorrent client to grab it.

Since everything was originally broadcast over the air, I'd have to assume that this is fair use. There's some great clips in there- the "Peek A Boo" parody is my favorite.

Contents:
ABC Season 1 Intros, Outros, and Bumpers

ABC Season 2 Intros, Outros, and Bumpers

Julee Cruise "Falling" Music Video

Behind The Scenes- Twin Peaks & Cop Rock
ABC promo special hosted by Alan Thicke.

AFI Presents TV or Not TV - "Peek A Boo"
From a 1989 TV Special. Alyssa Milano and Michael McKean star in a Twin Peaks parody.

E! Kyle MacLachlan Interview

1990 MTV Video Music Awards

Kyle MacLachlan on SNL + Promos

ET - The Women of Twin Peaks

Madchen Amick on Into The Night
Madchen Amick interviewed by Rick Dees. (She also ties a cherry stem into a knot with her tongue.)

Preview - Sherilyn Fenn's Secret

Obsession Ad - Directed by David Lynch

CNN Showbiz Today - Ray Wise Interview

ET - Post Murderer Revelation

E! - The Future of Twin Peaks?

Enjoy!

To answer the bittorrent question:

Download and install the Azureus bittorrent client.

You can download it from their webpage. Just google 'azureus' and click on the first link.

Once Azureus is installed, click on the mininova link in the first post and tell it where to save the DVD file.

If you have any problems getting Azureus, try googling for a FAQ or google to see if you're having a common hardware/software problem.

Hope this helps!

Wood, I don't suppose your man would consider putting this on some sort of rapidshare-type FTP/HTTP thingie? I'm having no luck connecting to the torrent ...

All my upstream bandwidth is being used to seed the torrent, so I'm going to hold off on ftp/rapidshare/etc until enough people have finished downloading and seeding.

If someone else wants to throw it on an FTP site or upload it elsewhere, that's great. Or you could check back in a few weeks and I might have the bandwidth to put it on my ftp site.

Finally watched it. It is a truly great piece of archival work. Say, would your friend happen to have any of the FWWM stuff archived? I've been looking for the MTV music awards with Chris Isaak and Kyle MacLachlan. It was done on the set of FWWM and was pretty funny from what I remember.

Yes some seeders would be very nice. I'm missing a few of these clips and would like to get my hands on them.
