I've never seen WAH yet. I'm really happy I could discover this one in this condition. :)

I now cross my fingers, hoping this will be a successfull event so they might plan to make another one with FWWM and INLAND EMPIRE. Who knows ? :D

Wow, kafard, you're really lucky. I've seen about half in theaters, including Inland Empire. That was kind of a tough one to sit through all at once.

There was, in 1994 in France, a re-release for Eraserhead and its new copy. A theater, for celebrate this re-release, in my town has made a retrospective of the movies made by David Lynch : Eraserhead, Elephant Man, Dune, Wild at Heart and Twin Peaks (that I had seen in 1992) - and for the rest "lost highway", "the straight story", "mulholland drive" : I saw them 3 or 4 times each when they were originaly out.
At this period, I was going to the movies much more than now ...
I also saw Boxing Helena in 1993 ...
And... I remember that during the re-release for the new copy of Eraserhead (in 1994) it was cold in the theater but very hot outside (40 degrees celcius), it was during the summer and during the day at 2pm... I had the impression to be in a nightmare in watching the movie then right away to feel the air burning my skin when I was out the theater... I can't forget that :)

I also saw all the Kubrick's movies (a retrospective too) in a theater.
So yes, I feel pretty lucky :)

kafard, where do you live in France? I wish there would be a full retrospective of all of Lynch's movies where I live. At a big screen.

Yep! "Only" at 230 kms of cannes. I went at cannes only once and not for a good thing at all, the dead of my grand-father, he was in a hospital at Antibes and at Cannes.
It's a nice place, not one of the most beautiful places of the east coast, but I will surely not go there during the festival, there is too much people. I don't like the crowd, that scared me... And like Gilles Jacobs has said : " now, at the festival there is too much people, that we can't really take care for the people in competition who are really there for the festival, now there is too much market around it.... And gossip's people."
I think he talked about the persons who are there just for say that they are at the festival... And well...

-sorry for my english...

Thanks for all the details; I was just looking at a map on the computer. Cannes during the Film Festival sounds pretty crazy to me, too. Unless, David Lynch was there.

Sorry about your grandfather and don't worry about your English!
