This is so sad. Dennis is finally getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and he just might not make it. We love you, Dennis!!!

Just heard the news, this is very depressing. I didn't even know he had cancer.

There was a picture of him in one of today's papers and it was so sad to see him looking so frail and ill. Very sad indeed.

I'm bumping this since I just heard that Dennis Hopper has passed away. You might want to start another thread, I'm not sure.

So sad to hear this news :( Even if it is no surprise. The guy was definitely one in a million and his portrayal of Frank Booth genuinely terrified and still terrifies me. Probably one of the greatest Lynchian roles in David's back-catalogue.

Ahhh.. I don't know but when another Lynch alumni disappears it sometimes feels like that world is slipping away.

Yes, so sad, indeed, but we will always have the films he was in, which were many...Have you seen his filmography http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_Hopper? Stunning!

My favorites of his were Blue Velvet, Apocalypse Now, Easy Rider and Colors.
