I think, at the time, I thought Billy Zane's character was going to come back in the next season and have some bearing on whatever happened next in the show. But of course the show got cancelled! Grr!
I see he's back with Kelly Brook now!

Yeah, it's funny how he became a movie star (Titanic), yet his role on Twin Peaks is so forgettable. This is the first thread I think I have even seen Billy Zane mentioned. I guess he didn't make too much of an impression on the TP fanbase, myself included.
