The set also features newly transferred Log Lady introductions for each episode;
picture upgrades to many shots in the TV series;
Hopefully the scene with Audrey & Windom in the Library has been upgraded. And that Maddy's murder is as the broadcast version was.
Capping off more than 30 deleted/alternate scenes is an epilogue providing a fascinating glimpse beyond the cliffhanger finale of the TV series
I wonder if there is any newly shot material here? Or just the post series scenes filmed for FWWM?
a selection of newly discovered deleted scenes and outtakes from the television series
WOW!!! I've always heard they junked everything. I wonder what quality these will be in? The poor VHS quality on the Gold set? Or better? Can't wait.
Also new to this release are 10 vignettes of iconic Twin Peaks themes called “Atmospherics.” Each features a unique montage of music, dialogue and video (including some rare outtakes) that appear as both menu backgrounds and as their own textless experience to further immerse fans in the mysterious world of Twin Peaks.
Sounds VERY interesting...

And what's the stuff about more deleted scenes from the series? Is this going to truly be new stuff (ie: not on the bootlegs already)?

This is all just amazing.

Honestly couldn't give a rip about the bumpers, coffee commercials, etc.

The fact the FWWM deleted scenes are coming in glorious fashion is more than I could've ever dreamed of.

I literally am so excited I can hardly stand it. Just seeing our favorite characters in little flashes of new scenes is just unbelievable to me. I know it's not "new" Twin Peaks, per se, but it's the next best thing! I have probably watched that trailer like 8 times already today.

I am so beyond excited....I watched that trailer so many times already. 90 minutes of deleted scenes is more than I ever thought.

So does anyone know what the Sneak Peaks are? They're in HD, and they seem separate from the recaps/previews.

And have we determined what's missing from the Gold Box set? So far looks like no SNL skits, no Japanese commercials, and no Christmas promo?

They were meant to be included. I'm not sure this list is complete.

It could be the "cast and crew" interviews that they mentioned.

That would be a shame since they were actually the last bit of TP filmed.
qbin2001 wrote:No. But there are so many tracks, that I doubt there will be any new one. I suspect that TP Archive was partly made to get the good quality music for FWWM deleted scenes restoration.
I'm sure you are right! I'm so curious as to what choices were made. I wonder if Lynch and Dean decided on the music?

If Lynch really did edit and assemble the 90 minutes himself, I should hope he had at least SOME input on the score, but who knows.

This box set is looking absolutely amazing, I am so impressed with everything that is going to be on it. I do hope, like Jerry said, that the panel discussions will be included as well. Christmas is definitely coming early this year! :)
