I know, looks beautiful. I wish there were some FWWM caps as well.Ross wrote:Awesome! Thanks for posting these here, Sam. I can't wait to get this set. These look amazing. Look at the detail in the owl shot!!
At least we know the series will look amazing.
Ross, do you think there's any chance they were able to find all the missing footage to do all the proper restoration on what looked rough?

Here's a comparison of the new bluray to the Gold Box. (Just for comparison sake - obviously bluray is going to look superior to DVD.)
Much more detail, and pretty much the same exact color tones.

Ross, can you do one comparison of the Bluray to the Itunes 1080p file?Ross wrote:Here's a comparison of the new bluray to the Gold Box. (Just for comparison sake - obviously bluray is going to look superior to DVD.)

Here's a snap I took of my old, taped-off-the-air, from the original broadcast, VHS. I don't have a better way of digitizing VHS, so I just snapped a pic. But the old image is almost all monochromatically brown/orange. Not sure if old VHS tapes change colors at all over the years, but I'm pretty sure the original broadcast color tones were REALLY brown/orange.

Kinda wish they would show some shots of FWWM, the only thing really touched in the series will be the effects shots and we've seen the comparisons on those. FWWM is where the real restoration work is.
