O.K. so i just heard back from Grace Zabriskie and she in fact confirmed to me that she has seen (and got a big kick out of) the short film Richard Beymer made for us and it got me to thinking maybe some of our newest members might have missed it. So, here is a short piece shot by Richard (and yes, that's him talking):

Enjoy the book Audrey. It's a trip. I just begged Grace for some more behind the scenes photos to put up on my website. However, she did not mention anything about that when she wrote back, but she said she loved Richard's video. I wonder if she has read his book yet. I know Charlotte Stewart took a lot of pictures on the set, i wish she would publish those somewhere...

Erin, I want to personally thank you for posting the Ricky Boo Boo photo set! Those are wonderful!
and you're welcome Annie... by the way Jerry, Grace actually read an early version of Richard's book years ago as well, but she definitely has the latest copy and i spoke with her about it very briefly. i am pretty sure that she has read Richard's book all the way through. i just hope that she gets more of her writing and other art work out there for people to enjoy too! she's too good.

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date...
Where's the new girl...?

BWAH HAHAHA!
Dude, she's in the Conservatory with Colonel Mustard with a revolver and wearing a white mask (or is that with Mrs. Peacock in the pantry with a carving knife?)...

It is possible to buy Grace's art. I don't know her full pricing... but the small boxes generally go for about $400. She puts a lot of time and craftmanship into everything she does. It would be worth inquiring though if you are interested in something in particular.Tonya J wrote:I've looked at Grace's website with the stunningly gorgeous boxes and set pieces. I'm really glad to see more reviews coming in at Amazon. They are all so different and I'm enjoying seeing the different perspectives. As Richard said to me at his MySpace before that blog was deleted for some reason:
"Since there is no plot or message I'm trying to get across, a successful read is only possible to the degree the reader is willing to go with whatever my life (real or imagined) triggers in them I see this book, as it turned out, to be a kind of Rorschach whereby the reader sees what they will."
His response to my review made me feel relieved about the extent to which I had exposed myself by sticking to my guns when writing it.
I've already sent a copy to one friend and soon to another, both writers in their own right, to read and review on Amazon.
Pssst ... Guys, this book is awesome.
