What postcards did you get in your gold box?
I thought i would start a thread on listing what postcards everybody got with the new dvd set. There will be postcards with the first 60,000 sets sold only. God knows how you are supposed to get a complete set. It's the StarPics auto card thing all over again!
-There are 61 different basic postcards
-There are 7 different gold foil parallel postcards (These 7 are repeats from the basic set with the only difference being a gold border on the card)
There are 560 cards total. 1 for every 107 boxes.
-Gold foil parallel postcards signed by David Lynch (Lynch signed all 7 gold foil parallel postcards 8 times each)
There are 56 postcards total. 1 for every 1,072 boxes.
-Wildcard postcard (This is a postcard of David Lynch)
There are 80 postcards total. 1 for every 750 boxes.
-Wildcard gold foil postcard (Same as above only with the gold border)
There are 35 postcards total. 1 for every 1,714 boxes.
-Wildcard gold foil postcard signed by David Lynch
There are 4 postcards total. 1 for every 15,000 boxes

Why worry about it? The odds of getting a signed card is very remote. It's fun and something to look foward to.kingsoprano718 wrote:so even after all this time they are STILL trying to pull off advertising schemes such as this...haven't we all been through enough without worrying about collecting full sets of postcards in a dvd set?
when will this ever end? how long can Peaks fans be raped for more money?
"How long can Peaks fans be raped?" What peaks products have been released in the last 16 years?

I like the idea, but I wish they'd just include all of them as a limited time, instead of only 12. I can understand the wild card or autographed ones only being in random sets, but I don't care for only 12 random normal ones in the set.
Its just going to bug me, knowing that I've only got 12, or, knowing my luck, chances are my copy won't be one of the first 60,000. I'm just not that lucky. That might sound silly, but I haven't had that much great luck with limited edition things like this.

58: Red drapes overlay of the grove
34: closeup of Maddy while she stares at James during "Just You"
35: Owl at night
30: Exterior of Police station
57: Closeup of corpse hand pointing to chess piece with deer head in sheriff's office
31: Leland with white hair returning to work in Ben's office
23: Sarah Palmer jolted out of her sleep from her vision in the pilot
37: Andy learning about the abortion clinic with post-its attached to him (2.05)
25: Laura in the dream (1.02)
28: Deerhead mounted to wall (Blue Pine lodge?)
48: Denise and Cooper in two shot (when Dennis enters in male FBI clothes -"I don't know, this seemed more appropriate")
27: Lucy, Andy, Truman, and Hawk leaning in listening to Cooper's Tibet talk (1.02)
62: Sherilyn Fenn beating up Heather Graham backstage after learnign she's been replaced

God, I love this music. Isn't it too dreamy?
I can't remember if there's a postcard of Ben Horne (I looked at the new TP website and couldn't click on the selections to see them all) but I really want one. And that will be about as random a chance as Charlie Bucket winning one of the gold tickets to tour Willy Wonka's chocolate factory (or getting one of the David Lynch-signed postcards).
Shouldn't grouse though, because this box set was very affordable and I am poor right now.

This is a thread about what postcards you get in your box set. As far as i know, only the R1 sets have the postcards.Douglas_Fir wrote:Does anyone know anything about the Japanese release? I was curious to know how limited it was & why its so expensive!

I hope i get the Windom card or the Shelly/Cole card.
Clearly the top cards to get are the Cooper or Laura Lynch signed ones.

I might be wrong, but i belive that to be a mistake. The postcard contest seems to imply only the U.S. and Canada will get the postcards.barryconvex wrote:No, at least the (German) R2 discs are announced to include postcards as well.Jerry Horne wrote: This is a thread about what postcards you get in your box set. P.S. No purchase necessary!
