Season 4? Or is it over after this? Wisteria/Unrecorded Night? Something else? (Speculation thread.)

I'm not going to lie, I'd be a hair bummed if it'[s not Peaks Season 4. But, that's just partly because it's easier to get excited for a known quantity as you have points of speculation. If its not Peaks, it'll take me a bit to reset my expectations, and of course like, a log line and premise would help (more than 'a woman in trouble' sort of thing). Hell, even if you told me 'a Mulholland Drive' continuation, it's just easier to get excited for than a complete unknown.

I just really badly want to see more of that seemingly darker and more grounded Part 18 world.

Its a real connection you'd made though. Took a second for me to realise you meant David Bowie (Jeffries). Is that track a good one? Did Duran Duran do a good cover of it?

In terms of an 80s-music related connection, a-ha (famous to some mainly for Take On Me) asked Lynch to do a video for them - one track they sent was Sycamore Leaves - their songwriter actually thought Lynch had been closely inspired by their song in the creation of Sycamore Trees - although this was musically composed by Badalamenti mainly I presume. It went to court. I think Lynch may have been lyrically inspired but that's all. a-ha have done some great rock-pop beyond their most famous or whimsical tunes.

He was definitely not lyrically inspired...the “sycamore trees” lyrics originally appeared in the first draft Ronny Rocket script which he wrote in the 1970s shortly after Eraserhead.

Hi, folks. Just wanted to say, based on the "announcement" we've just heard, I think the time has truly come to bid farewell to any possible future works from David Lynch once and for all. This is based not only on the endless "trolling" aspect coming over from his side but also - or, more precisely, predominantly - on what he was saying today and how he looked and sounded saying it. It's a massive bummer, but there it is.
