I didn't have the benefit of seeing the original broadcast and only saw it on release of the DVDs, after seeing Mulholland Drive. I then fell in with Lynch's work. Unfortunately during the eternal wait for series 2, I had the killer spoiled for me. I'm still amazed this series was aired in the early 90's.
Twin Peaks has had an immeasurable impact on my life. It got me into the arts, feminism, film theory and kicked off my introduction to meditation. Most importantly however it has helped me in life. I have friends whose lives have been impacted by incest, sexual abuse and sexual violence. Twin Peaks (and especially FWWM) introduced me to the idea of what people who have experienced this can go through. It's because of the heart breaking portrayal of Laura Palmer it equipped me to deal with friends and I learned never to judge.
Happy anniversary Twin Peaks - thanks for the laughs, sadness and everything else.

To celebrate 25 years of Twin Peaks, we dug deep into our archives for this rare interview and performance from Angelo Badalamenti:

Isn't he fantastic guy?
I've seen the story of LP Theme repeated dozen times in interviews and the passion he's telling it over and over again, makes me joy every single time.
