Wonder if the footage of the woods are shot for the series. The trees seem a bit small for Twin Peaks? Expected Douglas firs looking that old to be larger. But what do I know. Still loving it.

I'm curious how the new season's music will be handled.
The original run heavily replayed certain tracks (or at least, as someone who hasn't read in-depth about the soundtrack, it sounded like repetition) and I wonder if part of that was a time constraint, particularly when you're getting into a 22-episode season? FWWM, as I remembered, felt like it was much more specifically scored in regards to originally pieces for each scene (but, it's been a while since I've watched). I imagine the new series will follow that more filmic style?

It might be... Frost's initial interviews said (Badalamneti coming back) was probable, but he'd leave that to David. I think Sherilyn was the first to mention him being on board when she talked about them redoing the diner, and the show running 18 eps (that seems like ages ago now). Of course that was unofficial. Angelo himself mentioned being told about TP's return before anyone else knew- presumedly because he'd be working on it! But then the crew list didn't mention him. And they talked about Lynch being in charge of the music recently. So yeah- I think this may be the first OFFICIAL word.mtwentz wrote:Is this the first official confirmation of Badalamenti's involvement?Panapaok wrote:Dude. I can't even express my feelings right now. That tease sent shivers down my spine. IT IS HAPPENING AGAIN!

Or, y'know, one that's 30 seconds so it fits in a commercial slot.
Also, you do realize Twin Peaks aired during the MTV generation? So, I guess you're kind of insulting people who would've been young adults *when the show aired*.
What a terribly uppity comment, and I say this as someone who's in my twenties (I guess I'm part of some other terrible generation). Go yell at some clouds.

It can be hard to tell on the internet! Haha, and frankly, I'm just used to seeing people say .. well, essentially anyone under the age of like, 50, has the attention span of a pea ('kids these days' and all that)! So, apologies.sneakydave wrote: Sense of humour bypass detected.

No worries. I should have put a smiley after it. I was 12 when I watched Twin Peaks so I'm of that early 90's MTV generation I was poking fun at.
Internet lesson learned.

I'm loving this new version of the Laura Palmer theme... is it in a higher key? Somehow that higher-pitched sound makes it feel very "right" for a Twin Peaks continuation 25+ years in the future.
Also, the sound of the synth itself, the tone of it, reminds me a lot of the sound of Dark Mood Woods. Given how much I adore that song, I'm pretty excited about this one right now.
