oh, this is an excellent topic. there are many scenes which truly fracture me. i especially find little ricky's micheivious antics to be quite hilarious, especially those in the double r diner. 'uncle andy go boom boom'- that's just priceless!

or the ensueing pandomonium when the pine weazle bites dick's nose; the whole place goes mad. or when agent cooper makes reference to this same character in an episode:'... this... dick...'.

anytime the log lady is shown talking to her log.

nadine's collection of tacky brick-a-brack. her obsession with noise free drapery runners.

when audrey inserts the pencil into the styrofoam cup at the coincierge's desk and removes it.

not just funny, but truly sexy, too, is when actor david duchovny dresses in drag...

the man displaying the lift in Leo's house and getting repeatdly smashed into the wall. Leo's dumpy and unfinished house in general.

many, many more...

"You know there's a real bad accident out front... sounded like a bus or something."

The stock boy's double take and then Fenn's quick sly glance is priceless.

"Ever heard of One Eyed Jacks?"
"Isn't that that Western with Marlon Brando?"

Audrey's milisecond pause before answering, "It's a place up north," is genius.

"Twin Peaks finest will be attending."
"They're holding it in a phone booth?"

The llama that interrupts Coop and Trumans' conversation at the vets surgery in series one where they are tracking down the owner of Waldo.
Kyle keeps his composure admirably but you can see Micheal Ontkean crumple inside.
That was so close to an outtake.

There are so many. This show has a fine balance of drama and humor.

One that I can think of right now involve Leo where he was shot by Hank and Leo is watching the Soap "An Invitation to Love" as the actor got shot in a very classic cheesy way.

The insurance guy showing Shelly and Bobby the special chair for Leo and it rams the insuance guy repeativly against the wall.
And Bobby calling Leo "Leostein" is great!

There are so many.

Alberts' machine-gun vitreolic attacks(s) on local department and staff in the early part of series one are spectacular.

Pete chatting with Tajimoro at the bar...

"Do you like musicals?"
"No. I find adherence to fantasy.. troubling... and unreasonable."
...
"You're not from around here, are you?"

Pete's interaction with Catherine were pretty amazing throughout the whole series.

Lucy's roundabout way of telling Sheriff Truman to which phone she is putting through Pete Martells emergency call.
---------------------------------------------
Cooper blusters in,and fires off the mornings agenda while Truman struggles to swallow his breakfast in time to emit a response.
----------------------------------------------

Andy barbling on a trumpet, the phone is ringing, and lucy bats herself in the face.

-----------------------------------------------
Lucy and Andy are undershadowed characters, imho.
It takes skill to do "dumb-ass" convincingly.

Two UK series, the Vicar of Dibley and Absolutely Fabulous have characters (Alice and Bubble) who are surely based on Lucy.

There are two places where I laughed the loudest (that I remember right now):

David as Gordon Cole - I would fall apart every time he was on. What an inspired character and also what an excellent job, totally unselfconscious, David did playing him:

Benjamin Horne's breakdown into Civil War territory. Some of that was nervous laughter but I'm pretty sure that's how I was supposed to feel. Great job on Richard's part.

The fish in the percolator kills me every time.

Lucy screaming at Dick after she told him she'd scream if he said one more thing.

Albert Rosenfield's speech about "Ghandi and King," culminating in a big "I love you" to Harry.

Major Briggs' soliloquies.

Any of Nadine's feats of strength.

And I know it's supposed to be a serious moment, but I always laugh when Harold Smith scratches his cheek with the little garden rake.

All of Albert's scenes, especially the entirety of the opening scene of episode 9 ("don't get sentimental") and "return to your porch rockers and resume whittling." And of course his monologue in episode 10.

The Gordon Cole/Dale Cooper dynamic is pure gold. "Mr. DAAAALE COOPEEER!" I also really like the line "Whole lotta shakin' goin' on in Bend!" and "OFFICIAL BUSINESS! REAL HUSH-HUSH!"

Nadine saying "NEXT!" during the slideshow.

The Horne brothers walking in circles around Hank.

Both scenes of Leland singing Mairzy Doats, especially in Ben's office. Beymer knows his tap-dancing.
