you can check the status of orders on the website. Mine currently says "in progress," when before it said something like "on order"

She's just about the same age as Peggy Lipton was on the original show, and looks just as incredible for 45 as Peggy did in '91! (Maybe even moreso.) Must be something in the water at the RR...

I'm very late to the party but I finally got my copy today. Thankfully in a very good condition. Can't wait to delve into it later in the day!
This is - excuse me - a damn fine cup of coffee.

Does anyone know if the London waterstone's event includes a book signing or is that only at the forbidden planet thing earlier that day?

Finally got my copy, after Alvin Straight's lawnmower delivery service reached Australia.

I was expecting to find it a reasonably distracting curio that would contain the odd clue here and there, but would otherwise be a dry read due to the format.

I was completely wrong! I raced through the first 100 pages last night before I had to finally get some sleep. It's a lot of fun, with some great in-jokes. This is of course old news to most of you. I really love the way that he's done it like a bonkers history of the US, and I realised that no straight novel format would have worked for this. i.e. why bother with a conventional novelization when you are already making a new TV series? You may as well do something that looks and feels great to read, without spoiling anything.

The one advantage of getting it late is that I can follow it up with the 4 million pages of the spoiler thread ;-)
