Any ideas what that crazy music was in the beginning? It wasn't listed in the credits. Has anyone heard that before?

IIRC, Mulholland Dr -- on some level, about an amnesiac -- was originally conceived as a TP spin-off, with Sherilynn Fenn in the lead role.

And now here we are.

I'm more of the still-in-a-coma persuasion, but it's an interesting parallel.

Has the Cowboy arrived to Twin Peaks?
Great comparison. Charlie is creeping my shit out just like the cowboy. There's something very interactive and meta about him and cowboy, as if he is a narrator or guide of sorts. Feels almost as if he's speaking not simply to Audrey but to the audience also.

Re: Dutchman
I just read that the "Flying Dutchman" is a legendary ghost ship that can't find a port and is doomed to sail forever, has been reported many times, etc..
Seems like this most likely supernatural Dutchman place could have something to do with being stuck somewhere...
Could just be another nod to the concept of being stuck that has pervaded a lot of TP lore...
Or, most likely, I'm off track.

I have no idea what's going on with Audrey. If it's the same coma she was in after the bank, it makes Richard being her son a real stretch. A mental institution fits in the sense that every hint we've had about what has happened to her since the bank is pretty troubling. There are all kinds of theories that could fit, and one that doesn't is that it's a totally straightforward literal representation of what is going on with her current life. And somehow it wouldn't entire surprise me if that is the case. I can't wait to find out.

My early thoughts:

1. Mr C is a badass
2. That out of place accountant with the gang was funny
3. Dougie gets out of another one Mr. Mgoo style...yayy I guess. 72% of the season gone and still no Cooper :(
4. That guy taking a piss who said "That bad huh" to Tome Sizemore made me LOL.
5. I was sure those prints would flag some computer at the FBI and eventually Gordon.
6. Sarah Palmer is not in a time loop I think she is just so fucked up mentally that she does not notice what she is watching or that it is glitching.
7. Audrey is in a coma or an insane asylum.
8. That song at the end is a troll job for sure. Still better than the DJ

Wasn't it the story of the little girl who lived down the lane?

Kinda made me think of IE.
I might have misheard it because I don't have captions on, but if it is indeed lane instead of lake, I definitely see the Inland Empire vibes there too
It's from the nursery rhyme, "Baa Baa Black Sheep."
Yes, definitely, but doesn't Grace Z. also have a scene in IE where she talks about a little boy and a little girl? Perhaps I'm misremembering. It's ages since I saw it.

Maybe that's all James Hurley is: the evil that men do.

I loved that guy! And it turns out that's the "Malone" crew member guy who played one of the FBI agents arresting the hookers on the schoolbus in Fire Walk With Me! He's awesome.

What if, in classic Lynch fashion,
Spoiler:
Audrey is telling this story? And why?
I would probably lose my sh*t.

Man, what's going to happen in the next five hours?

James is another one stuck in a time loop! Yikes!

(First time I teared up during a first watch. And it was this scene?! I hate you David Lynch, lol!)

So, it's sounding more and more like the "Jeffries" Ray was in contact with is an impostor, somehow connected to the Lodge (Evil Coop has "something inside him they want" i.e. BOB)

But, Evil Coop himself has been in contact with the real Jeffries over the years?

This was a smaller scene, but I loved SJ's new gym set with the spotlight chasing him around and that creepy music box version of Swan Lake playing. That scene felt kind of Kubrick to me - I don't know why.

I thought Audrey's line was reminiscent of something from Inland Empire, but is it a direct reference to this movie? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074806/
