We haven't gone deeper into why Cooper seems to be missing his gunshot wound from Josie and his stab wound from Windom Earle.

Possible options:
1. While in the lodge, his body was regenerated/healed and caused his scars to disappear.
2. The Cooper that came is not Cooper's original body...maybe it was "manufactured" in the same way as Dougie.
3. Continuity error...no one on the production remembered he should have those wounds (though there was dialog about him getting shot earlier this season).
4. They figured it wasn't important to the story and no one would care.

I was certain that the doctor was going to notice a bullet wound leading Janey to say that he never had that before.

I suspect either 3 or 4. I would be surprised if a reason is actually given in the show.

Production remembers it, Ben talks about it to Beverly when the key comes back.
I think that you're onto something with 2. Dougie/Cooper might be the perfect Cooper. Free from sin, perfect shape, fully functional (as we have seen in episode 10), amazing reflexes. He just doesn't have his brain (=his experience).

I took it to mean they didn't know much about this guy who had come in and won a ton of $$$ in their casino, so he was essentially "Mr. Jones" to them. Lo and behold, "Mr. Jones" in fact turned out to be Mr. (Dougie) Jones.
I think it was actually that during their first encounter with him at the casino they assumed "Dougie Jones" was a fake name he used to hide his identity (it sounds like a fake name), then later to their surprise they found out that it is in fact his real name
I'd have to go back and watch, but I thought he was just referring to himself as Mr. Jackpots at this early point. The only person who referred to him as Dougie Jones was his hot dog eating buddy, but I don't think he referred to himself as Mr. Jones at all. He just recalled that his house had a red door when he was getting a lift home. The Mitchum brothers even refer to him as Mr. Jackpots once they pause the TV.
i could totally be misremembering but i thought he parrots back 'dougie jones' to the character played by brett gelman and gelman goes like 'ok 'mr. jones'' emphasizing how fake it sounds. i'm gonna go back and see if i'm recalling correctly

edit: yup, when he asks what his name is cooper points at himself and says 'dougie jones' and then brett gelman says to warrick 'cab ride for mr. jones' and then when coop looks up at the security camera: 'that's right, we're watching you, mr. jones'

Couldn't the casino bosses just ask the driver of their limo service to tell them where the house was with the red door that they dropped off mr jackpots at?

Hawk…electricity is humming. You hear it in the mountains and rivers. You see it dance among the seas and stars, and glowing around the moon. But in these days, the glow is dying. What will be in the darkness that remains?
In light of Margaret's quote about electricity humming and dancing "among the sea and stars," could the auto-tuning of Rebekah's voice be a deliberate artistic choice on Lynch's part? The effect seems to subtly pull electricity from the ether and into the heavy, vibrating air of the Roadhouse...

Option 5. Dougie has the same scars as Dale and thus the Doctor and Janey-E already knew about them and it wasn't worth bringing up at his examination.

I've spent more time than I'd like to admit studying Kyle's naked torso in that scene and couldn't identify any scars from those wounds. Anyone else wanna try?

Is there a third person in the pic with DoppleCoop and the bald guy in the room with the glass box? Looks like something behind the bald guy.

Pretty sure Chad got the right letter. What makes you think he didn't?
It's not addressed to Sheriff Trueman.

Re Piper Laurie:

She won't be in season 3 for the reasons I mentioned briefly/vaguely here way back when. As far as I know that did not change.

Sigh. It's addressed to Twin Peaks Sheriff Station. That's the same thing!

BigEd wrote: Also confirmed my earlier question/post: When Laura was at Gordon's door, a female voice said "Laura" and it was credited in the subtitle as [Sarah}. So Laura's mom is shouting "Laura" when her ghostly image shows up outside Gordon's hotel room door. Let the discussion begin.
yep. it was a sample from the Pilot, you know when Sarah is on the couch on the very last scene, thinking back on the morning when she is going through the house calling for Laura. the voice was used in the exact same way in Episode 3 as well, very pitched down and eerie sounding.

another interesting thing from the subtitles, this is from HBO Nordic's Swedish subtitles - we have different words for Grandmother on your mother's side and Grandmother on your father's side. the official Swedish subtitles by HBO translated Richard Horne's Grandmother line as Sylvia being his mother's mother.

Yes! I absolutely did! I actually paused the action, which I think is the only time I've done that this entire series! I finally decided it wasn't Sherilynn/Audrey. I thought that would have been an amazing way to reintroduce her. I didn't recognize her as the Mulholland Dr. singer until I got on here. Is she ... a little larger now than she was back then?
i have to admit i thought it was Sherilyn Fenn for a LONG time throughout that performance.. i love Rebekah del Rio and have seen pictures of her when she was younger but i haven't followed her and haven't seen her since Mulholland Dr. to my eyes she looked a lot more like how Sherilyn Fenn does today than what she looked like in Mulholland Dr. so it was a headscratcher haha.

it's interesting that Rebekah del Rio's performance in MD represented the turn of events for the narrative, and coupled with the Log Lady's speech to Hawk it seems likely this will represent the same here. i think we will see some very important turn of events within the next two episodes, relating to Cooper.

Miriam Hodge...I kept trying to remember where I knew the name Hodge from. Kyle MacLachlan's character on "Desperate Housewives" was Orson Hodge.

Her letter showed the the sheriff's station is on Main Street in Twin Peaks. It hardly seems that whatever street it is located at would be named Main Street. Maybe it's on the far end away from where all the action is.
