I just wondered if anyone noticed that the music used in the room with The Giant is also on The Lime Green Set?
Which music, the synths when he's floating, the gramophone or the sounds coming from the bell that made my dog bark? (I'm not alone in that, other people on Twitter reported their dogs reacting to the soundscape!)

The audio 'design' in this show is incredible.

Thousand little 'sound' details as never before in any other show. I never paid so much attention to the sounds in a tv show before in my life.

I have been noticing repeated noise patterns and electricity buzzings all around me since I started with this season.

And the Giant had warned us since the first scene: "Agent Cooper, listen to the sounds".

Can't wait for the BluRay release, hopefully with a lossless audio, to enjoy this to its fullest.

The only bit I didn't like was the NIN part.

I've never been so mind fucked from anything I've seen on film!
The woodsman saying "Gotta light" was funny shit.

I do think the explosion scene went on a bit too long though.
I felt much of it dragged out too long during my first viewing but figured it probably put me in the correct state of discomfort.

The second viewing (and presumably future ones) was a lot easier, knowing exactly what was coming afterwards, and it's probably a good enough length. As with many things, it's the not knowing that makes things unbearable. :-)

Yeah, I think he knows a bit more. As is also outlined in The Secret History of Twin Peaks book.
Yes, he does. The moment I saw the blue rose in the 3rd episode I knew Gordon really knows some deep secrets about all of this. After all, they are "Gordon's blue rose cases". :)
I wonder if that's why he holds less power nowadays than he did back then. That he was ridiculed in much the same way as Fox was in X-Files.

Funny that David Duchovny ended up being his boss. :-)

Yes. The frog-bug also made me think of sexual abuse ("let me in," unwanted entry, violating young women). Really gross.

Giant's is supposed to be Jupiter and the ARM is supposed to be Saturn. In astrology Jupiter symbolize luck and fortune and good things that happens in life. Also growth and wisdom. Jupiter on the other hand symbolizes all the challenges, misfortunes and fears that we come across in our lives. Many that believe in Astrology ( I don't) say that Saturn is a bad planet and Jupiter is good. But that's is one way to see it. Another way is that the 2 planets are complementary. Because through the challenges and the misfortunes you get wiser and grow up a better person and with wisdom you can have more luck. I think that Lynch uses meanings from astrology. Both Saturn and Jupiter are considered in the outer planets (outer beings).

For example in the casino, the one that guided Cooper to have this luck should be the Giant. Also, the Giant symbolize the wise person that give advises to Cooper. The ARM instead put challenges to Cooper as we see in the last episode of season 2. The dwarf rubs his hands to gather information about Cooper in order to challenge him in the black lodge. All this time in black lodge Cooper has grown up and become wiser and now he is able to face both BOB and DoppelCoop.

Normally, it should be patterns with other planets in the series that I haven't read or searched yet. But I am not sure about that.

I am still trying to wrap my head around all of this. Evil Coop seems to have a ton of extra help if he would die. A bit of a cheat, but I like how it opened up the origin story of Twin Peaks' mythology. I am not sure how they are going to stop Evil Coop if the Woodsman just show up out of nowhere. It might be like a video game or an RPG where you have to find a way to take out the minions to finally beat the boss. They have 10 more episodes to figure that out, but it would be nice if we have a team assembled prior to that. Right now, we have everyone still split up when they come back I at least want the FBI to meet up with Buckhorn or Twin Peaks. Cole should be getting a call from one of those agencies soon.

I had the feeling if Ray had gotten the chance to finish him off with a shot to the head, it would have been too late for the woodsmen. Ultimately, it may come down to only Good Coop is able to kill him.

Wait, wait. I'm not sure if anybody else has mentioned this but is the music that plays when the Giant starts to float the same as the ending scene in FWWM?

In the movie there is a scene where Laura tells James, "Your Laura disappeared." In the context of the movie it felt more metaphorical, but now with this season I wonder if we should gave taken it much more literal.

The episode after se7en was Image where omega meets alpha. I made some quick notes and did some sort of thinking ...

Did he tell ya? Holy Smoke. Dead is not the end, albeit the moment where destruction forces a new creation, a new beginning. Out of pure energy new matter arose. New life forms as well, or mutated ones? Bad Coop and the radiation/shadow/woods-men preserve the symbiose between BOB and Bad Coop. It seemed that they rubbed BOB back in, spread his blood all over his body and healed his wounds instantaneously … What follows is an inner journey? Even the blood-elixer stream fills the screen. Or maybe this is an large scale exploration of the sources of Good and Evil that captures our world?

Can those woodsmen crush a human skull with their bare hands, really? Mind breaking, isn’t it?
Atmospheric radio disturbances caused by a radiation-guy with a sore throat, a hoarse voice telling a riddle:

“Got a light? This is the water. And this is the well. Drink full and descend. The horse is the white of the eyes and dark within.”

Bible: “for this is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many.”

I say Quantum Electro Dynamics. Knowledge is power, and intuition a blessing? Did men, we humans, create our won evil - “Evil was born and followed the boy” [IE] and does Goodness come from above, the Giant and his female companion - the one who kissed the golden Laura-sphere?

1945 New Mexico - Atomic bomb experiment - Enola Gay was the ‘mother’ if the Little Boy … and Thin/Fat Man?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Boy
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enola_Gay

Later, 4 plus 7 years later according the caption, from a lonesome egg a frog-bug monster type of creature with wings starts crawling, on his way to a human host ?

Boy meets girl and they share a little innocent kiss, just before the creature creeped into the open mouth of the sleeping girl - Linda and Richard?

How does Bad Coop’s (near) death situation effect Good Coop’s life? And the One Armed Lodge creature?
