I like this Sabrina Sutherland. She cleared up the bing / billy thing, was funny running around in the casino scene, and now she is intriguing the life out of me regards part 8.

I admit I think this every week, but I'm going to say we'll see the full Dale resurgence in Part 8. Not a complete restoral of the old young Dale, like he sprang out of a time capsule, of course. But I think his conscious personality will resurface sometime during the next two parts.

The Doppelganger is out of prison and on the move, therefore it's a natural time to get Dale's plot moving as well. We've just learned that he'll resurface to deal with a crisis, maybe he just needs to be presented with a crisis that can't be resolved so quickly. Or this wakeup is like the initial alarm going off, and he'll slowly come to over the next day or so.

I know, I could be wrong, but I don't think Dale's going to be like this for the second half of the story I think he's back before he leaves Vegas, because of how everyone reacts to him. The characters in Vegas are used to the sleepwalking, barely responsive, probably drunk or hungover Dougie. They are not used to a straightforward, active, heroic personality like Dale's. And whatever changes happened from the Black Lodge, that's what the Dougie story proves is the core of Dale Cooper. The character is a hero and a force for change and goodness. Dougie is just Dale Cooper sleepwalking through life, and as he does he manages to better the lives of the innocent around him like the Slot Lady, Green Tea Frank, Janey-E (who received a financial windfall with him as well as a clear husband upgrade) and worsen the lives of the corrupt (Coworker Tony, the Casino Management) without even meaning to. And the two times we've seen the true Dale resurface it's disrupted everything in the scene. First, when he blurted out "He's lying." The entire meeting stopped, and it led to the boss learning about a serious problem at the company. Second, when he fought off Ike the Spike. That disrupted everything so much it hit the news.

Maybe he'll be a little quieter, maybe he'll be a little more distracted, but Dale Cooper is going to wake up in time to spend at least one day with these people as Dale rather than Dougie and it is going to turn Las Vegas Up. Side. Down.

I haven't been watching this thread too closely. Did anyone end up timing the Twin Peaks segments? I get irrationally satisfied by statistics, so, I'd love to see that full list (if once again there was more Peaks).

ok everyone, here ya go - a spreadsheet with columns for:
the complete cast list that was announced on april 25, 2016
the character that cast member plays
which episodes of season 3 they appear in
which location the character is first seen in season 3
and a few other details that will help you remember those with smaller roles
also
a blank character name if they haven't appeared yet
a bold actor name if they weren't on the original cast list
an asterisk for returning cast/characters from S1/S2/FWWM/TMP

here it is:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... dGsCR8woaA

i'll update it within a day of each new episode.

I think he is going to have a major awakening, but not fully know who he is... Just that he is fully aware he is not Dougie. I also think he and we will kniw this, but he will be smart enough to not reveal his hand and play along with people Dougie until he has a better grasp of the situation.

Sabrina hint... I think it will be more action packed than we've seen so far. The Belushi arc will begin. Cooper comes to his senses but keeps it to himself. Mr. C and his destination reveals a major plot turn. Betty Briggs is the Betty in question. A potential David Bowie cameo.

I'll say still no Audrey... Yet.
God, I love this music. Isn't it too dreamy?

I love this idea. I still say even him playing it cool, but being conscious will mean he changes everyone's lives. Dale's the sort of hero who uncovers secrets and transforms people's perceptions.

Terrific resource, thanks for posting.

I am curious to see who Grant Goodeve is playing.

That's how I interpreted it, too - the Houses of Saturn and Jupiter. There is also a symbol for Mars on the Owl Cave map, but the line about Saturn and Jupiter aligning from Season 2 - that this is when the gateway is open, the massive shift of fortune - that's what I thought of when the Giant said that.

I still have no idea how Coooer and Mr. C will interact without overtones of Superman III, which is not a good thing. But I have no doubt this was primarily one of the major plot points Frost and Lynch have mapped out much more interestingly.

.

There's a classic fantasy novel "A Wizard of Earthsea" which is all about a wizard unleashing a shadow creature from a dark dimension by accident and needing to face the consequences of his actions. That's usually what I think of rather than Superman 3. Especially since they played the Chromatics song Shadow.

I wasn't on board for the airplane blinking windows having any significance until I found out that the footage is taken from here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4k-2-AgEVI
from 0:30, no blinking. so it's added later.
Agent Cooper. Listen to the sounds.
It is in our house now. It all can not be said aloud now.
Remember 4 - 3 - 0
Richard and Linda. Two birds with one stone.
You are far away.

I think Gordon and Albert will get to Buckhorn, probably Betty and Bobby too. In episode 5, Colonel Davis tells Cynthia Knox that if this time, the Briggs prints turn out to be real, they have to call the FBI.

Once it's discovered that Mr C has escaped federal prison, I think Gordon Cole will put him on the FBI's Most Wanted List. Cooper's face will be plastered across the news, and someone in Las Vegas will think it's Dougie and call the authorities.

Did the Arm want Cooper to maim Ike or get his DNA or both?

We have already learned one of them must die, so I don't see a Superman 3 style deal. More like High Noon...

Maybe in an attempt to kill Dougie, DoppelCooper kills Jane-y and Sonny Jim, which is what causes Coop to wake up.

Just imagine....

just theoretically, as I don't think they had a chance to make it happen, under what conditions could Bowie have filmed something and something not leak out? Would it be something like Lynch and Deming showing up at Bowie's place and filming two scenes in his kitchen? Or just recording him talking on camera?

I'm leaning towards some electrical/AI 'nowhere' Jeffries at the moment, and the idea of an aged Tim Roth having a stab at Jeffries is still in my head.

I've been wondering if on some level Cooper doesn't want to return to the "adult" world. Right now he's enjoying rediscovering the world as brand new and all the joys it brings, as well as being served by a mother figure like Janey-E.

If so, then it yrev well might take a tragedy to bring him back.
