I stopped breathing at the last scene.

One more day of waiting for me (hopefully)!!!! I still can't believe they released those post-series scenes! I always thought Lynch might just keep those under wraps. Glad I was wrong.

I've upgraded my firmware, and sadly the problem is still there. The latest upgrade was released in mid-2013. Perhaps the fix that would take care of this hasn't been released yet...

Dugpa, I have a Samsung HTC-5500, and have just installed version 1021.0 of the firmware.

Also, to answer the earlier question, this wouldn't be a PAL issue as that's no longer relevant on Blu-ray. I'm confident these are actually the same discs the US and most other countries have. There's no local ratings information on them or on the box. So it's possible others outside Australia may encounter this problem.

Those checking, I recommend looking at Cooper's first scene. It's unmistakable there due to the close-up dialogue.

Anyone want to spill the beans & confirm what exactly the "picnic" footage is?

I am planning to drive to Burlington Vermont (from Montreal) to buy a copy because I can't stand the bilingual packaging of most DVDs up here. It has nothing to do with the either of the languages (I speak both) but I find when they put both languages on DVDs and Blurays everything is squished and looks like shit. If you have it would you mind posting a picture of it?
Cheers.
Um, isn't Plattsburgh, New York closer????
Yeah, but Burlington has burritos and Heady Topper beer. :)

How much is it at hmv?
HMV.ca has it listed at $114.

P.S. Just discovered that the dead Laura on the box is in low relief. Amazing boxset. Indeed.

It's filmed off a TV screen, up close. It's not much more than what you see in the episode -- except some panning down at the blanket with food on it, and some more of the girls dancing. You can (just barely) hear them in the scene which is cool because I don't remember that from when it was shown in the series.

I really love the couple minutes of outtakes included too. Nothing major, but there's a nice (I think unused) bit of dialogue from the pilot where Truman talks to Cooper about the Bookhouse Boys. Oh and he tells him that the bookhouse and the Roadhouse are owned by the same person -- "it's the Bang Bang Bar, but everyone calls it the Roadhouse."

If you want SPOILERS on a couple other series deleted scenes, here goes - the mayor's speech from the pilot is actually a beautiful little scene, and not comedy like I was expecting. "Lucy and Raccoons" is from the pilot, and I think this is probably an alternate take of the closing scene with Truman and Cooper eating donuts at the end of the day. After Cooper leaves, Lucy tells Truman (over the intercom) that Mrs Packard called about the racoons, etc. It's essentially the same idea as the way it was re-filmed for FWWM, complete with Truman leaving the room while Lucy is still going on. And the Lucy & Deputy Andy scene is actually a longer take of Lucy & Andy at the start of Episode 29 where Lucy talks about being scared. It goes on for just a bit longer in this version. And includes saliva. (Yup). The last deleted scenes on the feature are the four from the Gold Box, still in their rough form as they were on the DVD release.

I haven't found any of the easter eggs yet, but I haven't really started looking. Has anybody else found them?

I just watched "A Slice of Lynch Uncut." Hands down, the best part of this longer conversation is when a beaming David Lynch asks Kyle to talk about his rapport with Michael Ontkean and they all reminisce about their sheriff.
