Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray DVD Discussion

Post by kafard »

I received an e-mail from amazon France this morning saying : (sorry it is in french)

"Bonjour,

"

So, 23 april 2014 seems to be good.

(25 april in this e-mail is the date of the arrival of the parcel)

But it still is an estimation...

And I don't really know what will be inside this french boxset but MK2 is not planing for the moment to make a new release of the movie FWWM and ... i don't listen at the internet's rumors. :)
(I heard some stuff here and there but nothing of concret)

It hasn't been confirmed if FWWM + deleted scenes will be part of the Bluray release in April?

No. Deleted scenes have NOT been confirmed in any way officially. We were hoping to hear something yesterday (as rumors suggested). But it looks like more waiting...

That all the deleted scenes from the movie and the serie will be included in the boxset and more.

All we know for the moment it is that only the serie will be in the boxset and bonus, but we don't know which ones yet. We have to wait unfornutaly and I really really hope that all we can find about twin peaks (included the movie) will be in this boxset!

What is curious is that the French boxset is the one which is the more on amazon websites (italian, spanish...) but it was already the case with the first release in France (and worldwide) by TF1. We, unfornutaly, have to wait...
That people living in Italy or Spain add the boxset, even if this is the french one in their wishlists, can be a good thing to make the editors to think that there is a HUGE demand for this serie and... who knows!? the movie with the deleted scenes (but, I really have a doubt about the deleted scenes...)

Sorry for my english...

But would they really make the deleted FWWM scenes go with a TP boxset? Wouldn't this likely come out on a separate FWWM release?

CBS has been working for years to include the series, FWWM and the deleted scenes in one box. The VP of CBS Home Video told me that himself.

Most likely because the release was pushed back to April.

They are still working on the extras.

From what I know by a french website which gave me some "hints" (http://www.dvdfr.com) about this release, Paramount will be the distributor in France but with the supervision of TF1 (TF1 is doing crap in France about the series releases here :-D) so... and "Les années laser" which is a source pretty serious about what we can wait for the DVD releases said to me the same thing : MK2 is not planing to do an another release this year of the movie FWWM. So...
