MysteryMan wrote:So which 17 deleted scenes do you guys think we are most likely to get? :)
1. Deputy Cliff bothers Chet & Sam in Teresa's trailer
2. Chet fights with Sheriff Cable
3. Cooper & Diane scene / Cooper & Sam scene
4. Laura runs into her mother in the doorway as she heads to Harold's apartment
5. Laura and her mother chat again / Palmer family dinner scene / Laura sneaks out to meet the trucker
6. Pete Martell, Dell Mibbler, and Josie at the sawmill
7. Laura, Donna, Mr & Mrs Heyward
8. Laura, Donna, Buck and Tommy head to Partyland
9. Big Ed and Nadine skin the deer
10. Josie and Sheriff Truman
11. Big Ed and Norma
12. Dr. Jacoby calls Laura
13. Truman, Andy and Hawk
14. Truman, Andy and Lucy
15. Major & Mrs. Briggs
16. The Log Lady in her cabin
17. Annie in the hospital / Cooper on his bathroom floor

I'd love to see the extra Philip Jeffries stuff, but I have a feeling it won't be included. I hope I'm wrong about that. Always been curious what that Argentina hotel set looked like.
I still wish #11 wouldn't have been cut. The transition from the Roadhouse to Partyland in the film is so sudden its confusing. It took me a few times seeing the film to realize the Partyland scenes weren't at the Roadhouse.

And #5 on this list includes the "Norwegian" scene, correct? I really want to see that as I know Grace Zabriskie loved that scene.

I'd also like to see the rest of the "drug deal" storyline.

How about the Pete & Ed scene?

Or the full RR scene with Ed and Nadine?

Yeah, the Palmer dinner scene is where Leland is trying to teach Norwegian to Laura & Sarah.

Good call on the Pete & Ed scene. That would definitely be included because Lynch was pretty adamant about wanting people to see the missing Jack Nance scenes.

The full RR scene would be great to see, I just worry that being a "partially" deleted scene, he may have not thought it qualified as one of those 17 scenes he set aside. Based on the script, the RR scene's missing elements include Laura being really frosty to Shelly in the diner when she tries to help her with Meals on Wheels, Big Ed & Nadine coming and going, Shelly telling Norma she has to cover for Laura, and then Norma crying in a booth after some words from Toad. Seems like enough that it could be cut into a mini scene, but who knows.

I really hope the full 29 missing scenes from FWWM could be re-evaluated instead of whatever 17 he narrowed it down to many years ago for DVD release. Like everybody else here, I'm curious to see everything. The many brief partial deleted scenes from Wild at Heart on the Lime Green set leaves me a little hope that some of those small deleted scenes could be included in the FWWM Blu-ray release. (Yet, I wonder if those short Wild at Heart deleted scenes were only included because they were off a crappy workprint that didn't require nearly as much time/money invested to clean it up for release as the better-preserved FWWM deleted scenes masters would seem to need in order to meet David's standards). Time will tell...

You know there is always the possibility David wasn't included in the decision making, he doesn't own FWWM which has been part of the problem.

Well it isn't 100% remember, this is just someones post on a forum saying that, but they were right the first time. If there is a press release on Friday there's no guarantee it'll reveal anything beyond what we already know (release date and price). So yeah, keep calm :P

Looks like possibly April 23rd now.

I've just seen one of the release forms that CBS has sent to cast/crew so that the USC Retrospective interviews can be included.
